Betting is now $1.90 each of two. Must be solid info on outs etc for Port to be heavily backed.

Same thing happened when we played Pies, Tigers and Suns. There was late money for all three teams.

And we smashed all three.

Thought we would have brought in more fresh legs after what happened a few weeks ago when we didn't. Both the ins are very solid though. Jetta especially is a welcome inclusion down back.

Wouldn't you prefer Watts up forward rather than rucking?

IMHO it was his ruck work that got him into the game against Freo

I don't like it one bit.

Whenever everyone on here gets their collective knickers in a knot over team selection, we win.

When there is calm, we lose.

I'm outraged!

Viv should be captain, Frost should be booting OMac into tomorrow and Spence should be first ruck to let Gawn have a snooze in the forward line.

I just blew up my membership card.

Does that help?

Dawes in for a late change? We could really exploit Port's lack of height on defence.

Roosy said we are taking 24 players to NT

Anything that doesn't kill Big Max will just make him stronger.

Would have liked more changes. I hope I'm wrong but I get the feeling our zone will fall apart as it did against the Saints. Just don't think we're utilising our whole list to best effect.

Oh yeah, just watch Westhof tear Oscar Mc Donald a new ONE!

"Shudder before you fall"!

We should take JKH as well considering that it's the Indigenous Round!

If we were to win 3 games in a row for once, this one and next week would be perfect timing and so sweet against the hawks.

I cant remember beating the latter in the last five years. Have to check the records.

But I get ahead of myself.

Go Dees.

Beat Hawthorn

- Last win: Round 8, 2006 (11-game losing streak)

- Since 1980: 59 games, 14 wins, 45 losses

Pretty happy with those selections.  Obviously the players seems pretty fresh, even with the 6 day turnaround, so they didn't feel the need to make more than 2 changes.  Guys like ANB and Newton will be ready to go again and impress the selectors, while Tyson and Jetta will inject some extra experience into the side.

Feeling pretty good about this one.  Their midfield is still very, very good but if we can get the press working right then we should be able to kick a winning score.

This.

We've got heaps of fit, in form players, and we're taking a team on a 6 day break that will then have to come back and play Hawthorn. Not sure of the sense in this, but we'll see I guess.

Felt like we were a tall short, feels the same this week. When Watts went into the ruck last week the fwd line was Hoges and "smalls", looked out of shape.

Dawes or PEDs would be handy.

Part of me can never but help but feel that the next bitter disappointment is just around the corner, though...

I don't usually leave that part in charge though.  The rest of me tells that part to bugger off and stop ruining my optimism.

I know we were only playing Brisbane, but we still hit the scoreboard 36 times last week.  I still think it is a formidable forward line, and with Port not having a great deal of talls down there, I think it still works this week.

I like stability and I like rewarding winning teams by not dropping too many players but we're on a 6 day break travelling interstate with a bunch of kids.

I thought we'd see more than two changes.

The last time we met most clubs in the past we lost.Sooner or later we win more matches than lose and hence become favourites. So called Wattsy did play in the ruck under Neil Craig and was a hit. Why do supporters prefer Pederson as a back up ruckman considering he is 3 cm shorter than Watts, also Watts was going to be tried as a mid last year  due to his lack of guts couldn't pull it off. With the addition of classy players he may prove most people wrong.

I was at this game last year and pretty happy at quarter time, with Chunk leading from the front. Trav Boak was moved on to him and shut him down completely. This may have been the game that Nate injured his neck?

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
