GAME DAY - Round 21

Weer don't need a priority pick. We need 3 or 4 2nd round picks, all to be used to trade players in and let us turn the list over.

Even with that we won't be any good. But at least we may be able to start building this list properly.

Without that we are still 3 years away from getting the [censored] culture out completely.

We said that 3 years ago. And then 3 years before that. It’s a neverending story.

Jones, Dunn, Watts, Garland, Dawes all need to continue their careers elsewhere. They are far too influential on the narrative of a match and they dictate the tone. They are losers and should either be allowed to leave, or traded. Our rebuilds will stay in neutral until the players part of 186 and 148 are gone. McDonald is the exception. Bailey and Daniher era players should not be part of our future. They are part of an era that we need to eradicate from the club mantra.

Busy year so only had time to come over for one game. Of course it was today. Got Brisbane last year so why not a blues loss this year.

Do the players want to play for Paul Roos?

Look at the saints, that's a team of blokes who want to play for their coach, trust their structures and coaches and are developing game by game despite in my opinion having less talent than us.

look at the MFC, can't rely on players to produce effort, no pride in performance, constantly going away from coaches structures and messages, leaders who aren't getting them back to the plan quickly enough, if we fall off the horse we can't fix it in game, we wait til the quarter and hope the coaches can fix it.

I just want everyone to know I'm not watching so I'm not angry.

I highly recommend it.

I'd rather not stick my head in the sand. This is supposed to our team, I'd rather know how bad we truly are.

Agreed. The problem is that we are so bad that the current mechanisms for changing the list over aren't enough.

We can really being at best 3 players into the club worthy of being in an AFL 22 immediately. A FA, and two trades with our first and second picks.

We need to bring 8 players in worthy of that status just to be competitive.

I can't think of a worse performance.

This team doesn't care and has no pride.

5 tackles in first quarter, has to be an AFL record low.

Last 3 games 1st quarters 23 goals to 3. That is simply disgusting.

They should be ashamed of their effort.

I'm just sick of seeing supporters willing to walk away from adversity. That's not how life or supporting a team works.

Its a death march

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
