Expected it but am not happy dropping easy goals in the last. Get our missing player's back and we go very close to winning that.

None of our talls played well.

We were clearly out worked as they always had options around the contest and were able to use this to their advantage, especially when  we were trying to apply pressure.

I expected to lose by about 25 but it was still disappointing.

They were clean and played with a system.

We bombed the ball in and hoped for the best.

Backline players fumbling everything and forwards missing very easy shots.

Melksham a terrible forward target and costed us numerous high quality entries, while burning 2 more of his entries by foot that should have been goals.

layzie hitter nail on the head.

Hopefully we will have a very close look at the replay and LEARN about transition out of defence - a football lesson.

Crows top of the ladder for good reasons.

Just did a ladder predictor. Had us scraping into 8th spot only to play a red hot Sydney on their home deck. My lord we need our players back. The last couple of months have been an exciting ride but we're running on fumes now.

On the positive side, it was nice to see Jesse Hogan working his way into some good form. But please can we get rid of our Darwin fixture as soon as financially possible. I love Darwin. I was born there. But I love the Demons more and this is like seeing an abusive parent (Darwin) beating up your first love (Melbourne).

I hate fumbly footy.

They had spare players on their attacking side of every stoppage, free and unmanned for most of the night. 1 handball forward and they were away. At least 12 - 15 times. I have a sore throat from screaming at the screen.

Please, please, please can we get some class players back soon.

JKH was very, very good.

Only interested in the positives - I think JKH has turned the corner and is obviously a midfielder and not a small forward. O Mac continues his development down back, Lewis played his best game for us and Hunt has returned to form.

i wish Darwin would secede from Australia and be ineligible to host games.

Gave away too many easy goals from turnovers and our clearance work just wasn't there. In other words it was [censored]!

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
