Go to the website and watch the interview.

It's refreshing to hear his genuine excitement of playing rather than those who take it for granted.

Where do I purchase a ticket for the delistings/trades come years end?

At the Rohan Bail pavilion.

Can we call him Junior? It's good to have a Junior Mac back in red and blue!

Surprised at the selection, but good luck to him. Couldn't ask for much more of a baptism of fire, away match to the top of the table. Will be interesting to see who makes way for him, Brayshaw and Harmes are out but not really a direct swap for either.

I've seen quire a bit of Casey this year and feel Oscar is progressing well and eventually he will have similar success to Tom. But Freo over there - talk about throwing the kid to the wolves.

Makes complete sense to me.

An out of form Freeo, the selection committee has clearly decided to rest a few of our key players to freshen them up for the pre-season.

Dawes, Pederson, Frost all unavailable. Tom Mac will be needed forward, so Oscar the only possible candidate.

Godf luck to him.

Good to hear. Talk about a baptism of fire though.

Will he play back or forward? Looking forward to seeing him

The entire team will play in the backline.....

I think he'll most likely play back on young Pearce from Freo, but he if he's not going well then he could go forward and just use his run to provide another target.

He's played enough decent games forward and the club obviously think he's a long term prospect so a bit of a soft debut never hurt.

There's really no one else at Casey who's fit, in form and part of the future.

Or they could have called up the best tall defender for Casey this season. Sadly he doesn't seem to be in anyone's plans anymore.

Exactly why they have named Spencer as FF and named Oscar in the Forward Pocket!

He's finished.

I'm pleased to see him go.

I'm not sure that';s a good idea.......:(

Finds the ball in play. Looked a little more composed later in the game, first few touches were very nervous. Has a much better kicking action than his brother. Stacks of physical development to do before he's a likely to be a serious key defender.

At least two years off IMO, but promising.

He looks more skilled than his brother. Given he was thrown to wolves, I thought he did pretty well.

Turned it over, on par with his Brother!

Hopefully nerves BUT!??

He looked nice and composed given the firing squad he faced.

I thought it was a brave performance and I see a future in him.

Needs a lot of weight and some skills sessions not hosted by brother Tom.

He was ok. Let's be honest, expectations weren't high and we would have met, perhaps even slightly exceeded expectations most of us had.

Did enough to play next week and looks like an option for us in the future. Hopefully he gains some confidence and has a good game against gws.

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
