Off to work, might miss the start but I'm the boss so might not either...

Quietly confident?

I have to admit that I was somewhat concerned about reports from training during the week suggesting injuries to Max Gawn and Jesse Hogan but the news from Casey's practice match provided comfort. If there were any concerns with either of those two then Jake Spencer would surely have been withdrawn from the game.

Otherwise, I think we have the Blues well and truly covered although come to think of it, I thought that was the case last year ... and the year before.

The prospect of an extra hours sleep was exciting, but my two year olds have obviously never heard of daylight savings.

Or maybe they're too damn pumped its game day!

Hope I don't nod off at the G this arvo..??

Further encouraged by Frost and Wagner playing a half yesterday.  Frost in particular I think we need back.

Honestly Id be shocked if we lost today. As mentioned above I also thought that last year etc etc

ugh, same boat @Deemented Are Go! - I've tried to reframe it like its xmas morning - cause I'm quite excited about the match BUT the coffee has warn off already... and little dude  - is very well much like 'The Super Furry Animals' song - "The Man Don't Give A Fork" I'm sure Misso has walked through with the boys the biological effects of sleep deprivation following the change in clock :)

thoseIt's about time we break the cycle of putting in a crappy effort following a solid performance the week before. Carlton are a mess, I'll accept a 10 goal plus win. Watts to boot 4.

If we don't win this well Ethan, I maybe seen attempting to stab myself to death with one of horrible plastic beer containers. No doubt I will fail in the attempt so I shall return to the Manor and give myself a jolly good flogging

We will see who plays the bruse free footy today.

...actually it could be both sides if Carlscum bring a repeat of their JLT form and we have the luxury of playing a free flowing game of keepings off.

Expecting they will have additional hardness around the contest with Crisps - we should seriously just tag him out of the game (if that's possible) and then they will have nothing.

My TV avoided having empty beer cans thrown at it last week by the team beating the saints.

Cripps and Gibbs murdered us last time.

George Santayana. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it. George Santayana (16 December 1863 in Madrid, Spain – 26 September 1952 in Rome, Italy) was a philosopher, essayist, poet and novelist.

I think we will win comfortably, but we need to show them more respect. Outside of Gold Coast there are no easy beats

They smashed us in the midfield last year and we couldn't arrest the momentum after they jumped us. This year I'm more confident our mids wobt allow themselves to get overpowered in the middle and if they do we have the ability to turn things around like we did last week

Same as I said after round 1 last year, today will show if we have turned the corner or are just having a peak around it. Said it with trepidation last year I say it with full confidence this year that we have. Something feels different. I go expecting us to smack them not hoping. Come on Dee's Raise Hell.

If you have Fox watch the College Basketball final 4 on ESPN. exciting stuff.

In all honesty i think we will towell blues up. From a punting perspective there is real value in the dees line of 28.5 as i supect we will win by 50 plus.

Due to a basketball event i am involved in I cant go so will be chromecating the replay 'as live' tomorrow morning at 6am. Which means from 3:20 a full media blackout. Go dèes

More like all weekend.

Traditional Saturday arvo is the best time slot.  Would love the league to play a predomance of games in the slot for just one round of the year (perhaps the heritage round) - I know it will never happen again, but I'm a bit nostalgic and it was great entertainment/atmosphere having all those score updates going on around you listening in on the radio.

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
