If he wants to go why can’t he go to the Eagles?

Because players get to club of choice.

Not sure a small fwd, even as talented as Kozzie, is high on their shopping list just yet.  Warner is their top priority this year.

It is fair to say that since Bell left Freo seem more amicable traders.  If Kozzie goes we will get full value.  And given the draft pick landscape of the next few years our best chance of getting full value is 2025.  btw that isn't proposing we trade him - just outlining the practicalities.

I’m 100% joking. There’s a bunch of us middle-aged gals in the cheer squad who talk like this and everyone knows it’s all in jest. Even the players play along with it. But if you’re offended then by all means report me to the admins.

This applies to you too, @Leeroy Kincaid as well as anyone else who may be offended.

I thought Warner was off to the Eagles?

Was Nibbler the only player ever to say “I want to go home, don’t care where just get a deal done”?

Also how come when you quoted me it changed thread?

Role players like AnB can't be too picky with their club of choice unlike the A graders above

System is broken though, with contracted players nominating a club of choice

Agreed, I would prefer a system where you get sent wherever the club decides but that will never happen. The easy compromise is you can pick the state the club then gets the best deal for the club.

I would like a system where contracts actually mean something.

They do to an extent. Imagine is Clarry or Trac were free agents last year, may not be with us now. They had long term contracts and as a result a trade did not eventuate.

My understanding is Nibbla was only ever going to the crows and the deal was basically done mid season, with only the deets to work out at season's end.

That is what I meant as your post implied Kozzie to the eagles.

Houston left the club in Vict open.

Hmm, not sure why it changed thread - I noticed it also but decided to not argue with a computer 🙂

@Demonland could you move the Kozzie discussion back to the other thread please.

Houston ruled out both us and North. North had plenty to offer Port.

Im not the one you should be worried about offending or being reported to admin is the problem.

Lets ask the 16/17yo boys parents if they find a middle aged women asking for topless photos of their boy on an internet forum a joke????

Four wings during the sims had Billings and Langdon matched, and the other side had Sparrow and Sharp.

And any comments on the relative performances against each other?

He has only started back in the main group.  Yes, he looks likely, but then so do the vast majority at training.  It looks like he can kick and can read the play, but he is very slight, especially as a newbie.  Woewodin as contrast after 1 season looks like the Hulk next to him.

I wouldn't expect to see him play this year as there are too many others of his type and position....AMW, Windsor, Sharp, Woey, Lawrie, Chandler, Salem, Tholstrup, Bowey, Spargo, Billings, Sestan, Kynan Brown...

I'll be shocked if he doesn't play 50% plus games.

There may be a lot of his type, but he'll be better than most.

Agree

He'll be a best 22 lock by mid season, if not before.

Take it to the bank.

He doesn't under deliver while training. He is a tank and a team player. I have hopes of further improvement in the real thing, but I wouldn't call him a sure thing.

I like him. But for whatever reason. He probably doesn’t get the same opportunity to be the man as others his age because of his position.

He steps up when he gets his chance, normally kicks a goal or takes a mark, his 21 season still his best to date.

I’d love to see him become a 1 goal a game 20 touch midfielder for us while we have Tracc & Oliver.

Langdon had more influence than Billings. With Billings having to keep up, often seen behind him.

Sparrow was more dominant than Sharp, who struggled to find space. Where-as Sparrow used the boundary side well , acting as a connector from the backs to the forwards.

I am going to reserve  my opinion on Lindsay untill I see more of him, given that was the first time he joined the main group on Gosch's.

I like what I read, but it doesn't necessarily mean he'll be ready for round 1. For a start, those words don't tell us whether he's fit enough, whether he understands the gameplan, or whether he understands the role Goodwin wants him to play.  Nevertheless, I'm optimistic about him and hope that he does well.

Oh he’ll be there R1 mate — just bank it it’s happening brother

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
