Well that was T Mac's worst game this year by far.  Can't kick, can't spoil, can't mark, didn't look like he wanted to be out there.

Don't even think he is tradable material on the basis of the game he played today.  Jack Watts has more currency on today's effort.

Nothing to do with footy but It's great when your 12 year old son discovers movies like Airplane, blazing sadles and police academy. Gives you an excuse to watch them again and see your kid laugh out loud.

Its a nice stress release from watching these close ones.

Trac was down for a while in the last but seemed ok.

Hope not. We have had more than our fair share this year.

He was down for a while in the forward line. Got up and contested in the backline then sprinted forward to kick a goal. He's coming good and it was a real guts effort

So....

As my wife and I fought our way through IKEA this afternoon with 2x cranky two year olds I was checking the scores every minute or two. The battle we faced dealing with lollygaggers, rubberneckers and just plain [censored] stupid people in the claustrophobic throng was nothing like the enjoyable Scandinavian utopia I was hoping for.

Judging by the score line, our anguished shopping outing seemed synonymous with whatever was happening at the G today.

Next scorecheck, we were kicking away (so I thought) to a four goal plus lead. By the time I got home they had it back to 7 points. I couldn't do it and turned off my phone. When I turned it back on, a dramatic message from a mate describing the shitfullness of the game made me think we'd lost. To much relief, a final scorecheck said otherwise.

bloody hell, I'm totally drained!

The burning question is watch the replay or not?

Please cast your votes here....

oh and GO DEEEEES!!!

I told you no. It's a shite game. SHITE!!!

Nup, no room for him down back, has already been replaced as the MFC supporters punching bag by his brother.

See ya later T Mac.  Winter isn't over yet'S Frost will be back next week and you will be kicking the dew at Casey Tommy.

Walking through IKEA when with our whole season on the line?  Where's the commitment?

All Demented and no go!

And I thought I was under the thumb... (sorry dear, I know I am, just don't want to admit it in public!)

And what did you omit?

14 contested possessions, only just behind Beams and Oliver, and ahead of 41 other players out there today.

Confirmation bias in action.

Seriously???? We are about to embark on a long awaited finals campaign and you want one of our best ball getters out of the team.

Screw the stats, ugly win and I'll take it, plenty of improvement left and at least the impressive part is how we have responded in the last two weeks when challenged.

Last week Tyson only had 1 turnover in a big game  but not many seemed to notice then.

Todays game was the big worry for mine, more so than next week.

I prefer Viney that is correct Demon77.

Tyson is a good "go to" option if one of either Jones, Viney, Clarry and Lewis are out but i don't think there's room for all 5 in the middle when they're all fit and playing.  We become cumbersome and slow through the middle when we do IMO.  I just see him as a class below these 4 right now but a handy back up if needed.

Depth and competition for places in our core group of mid fielders can only be good for the team and it's future success surely.

Anyone know on the quiet if Viney could have played today ?

we have gifted 4th spot to Richmond with the losses we've had this year.

They got a goal when he went down . He got up but had no impact.

Without Hibberd, Jetta, Hunt and Lewis in our back line, we would be toast.  TMac better up forward.  He causes several heart attacks every week with ball in hand.

Credit Goody getting Hibberd!

I think this is easy for some to forget, Stretch.  While it doesn't excuse our losses this year, others have had some shockers as well.  The Lions rolled Essendon on their home deck, for example.  Even GWS rolled over against Carlton earlier in the year.

It's been such an even competition this year that, if you're not on your game, you can get rolled by anyone.

Adelaide lost to North.

GWS lost to Carlton.

Geelong lost to GC.

Richmond lost to Fremantle.

Sydney lost to Carlton.

Essendon lost to Brisbane, Fremantle and Carlton.

Port's the only side not to have lost to one of the bottom 5. In fact, they've only lost one game to the bottom 10 all year, and that was to West Coast. However, they've only won one game over a top 8 side and that was Sydney in Round 1 which doesn't count for much these days.

Classic Demonland.

TMac has his best ever season, plays one bad game and now couldn't even be traded if we wanted to trade him.

Hey steady on Balls, don't question my commitment. You have no idea about my circumstances and I'm a full member who gets to as many games as I can, which is plenty.

I think he deserves more credit for getting Melksham. Was a ballsy call at the time and pick 24 was largely considered overs. Find me anyone that wouldn't do that trade now!

Absolutely agree. Melksham has been a great addition and should have silenced all the negative commentators on Demonland at the start of the year. Plays a variety of roles excellently including being a very reliable kick for goal which are important in the context of the game.

Yes, I noticed.

He has had his right shoulder strapped since he came back from cancer surgery.

I mentioned before that my partner is a holistic yoga instructor. She'll definitely tell you how the balls are connected to the right shoulder. Indeed, I'm now convinced that my slight over-bight has made me a fraction pigeon-footed in my running style.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
