didn't seem to work for Viney unfortunately with a rest this week for the foot.

Hopefully he'll be having a week off after the pies game before finals. I suspect they might have wanted him to have a couple of games then a break rather than one on one off

This feels reckless and desperate. It will be cold and possibly wet and a slog. Give him the extra week, i say.

Im sure they wouldnt be risking Jesses long term future here. Have to trust the club on this and that they have his longevity as a player in mind

He got a plate inserted so i assume that means his bone is secured and willheal on its own accord now regardless or impacts etc. Probably leaves it just down to pain etc

My first though was the same, he is back in after 2 weeks, wow.

However, we need to trust the club Doc's and fitness staff. He may not move outside of Melbourne's inside 50 and maybe push up the wing for uncontested ball.

In regards to the weather, supposedly the last drop of rain will be 11am Saturday morning, the drainage at the G should be good enough to ensure that the ground is not 'muddy'. It is Melbourne, so i'm expecting snow Sunday afternoon.

Yes. It's not related to the planter fascia that was operated on according to Mahoney..

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
