Ricky Petterd is next to us here.

I keep lobbing things at him and he can catch them quite well.

North have been giving it to our players off the ball since the opening bounce. Completely inept umpiring to not pay the countless frees that have been there off the ball.

You get fights and melees when you don't bother enforcing the rules.

Agree Gorg. Don't get sucked in. Hit em hard, but fairly (or when the ump can't see in Buggy's case!)

Hurt them on the scoreboard, that will show em up.

Uncle Bitter is beside me at the G and I've never seen someone go off at the umpires so spectacularly in my 4 decades of attendance. It's like a circus of abuse. I've learned many new words, mostly anatomical, some involving foreign objects with a verb or 2 thrown in as well.

Yes, and not well.

I get Abe's point, but damn he's been woeful with the ball.

Just had a squiz at the individual stats and it appears we've got a good chunk of the team with a heap of room to improve. If blokes like Petracca can get into the game we should be good to bring it home.

He is a passenger who hops on when things are going well. He isn't one you'd turn to to turn things around.

If Oliver is struggling to win ball in the second half due to extra attention, I'd love to see him focus of just tackling and burying some of their players. Rack up 10+ tackles and make them hurt. Viney, jones, Tyson etc and more than capable of picking up slack around the ball.

Either that or send him forward, we need some good forward pressure.

I said during the week that the thuggery and bullying spirit that the Roos currently display comes directly from their surly coach. They think that if they bully our young guns they will intimidate us, but forget about Viney, Jones, Lewis, Bugg, Vince and co who will give it back and then some. I hope we cream them in the 2nd half.

Or play him forward and watch him kick goals of the year.

Trac needs more time in the middle.

Watts needs to lift. We are crying out for a tall down forward.

Im up on the third tier. A few mfc guys almost jumped off with utter rage.

They are deserving off everything they are getting. They have been deplorable today.

Players like Watts Kent Salem Petracca Garlet have all been quite so far.

If they lift we can run away wiyh this.

Interesting to see how Oliver responds to the treatment he's getting. It was inevitable. Now we'll learn more.

He's responded well imo. Not getting as many possessions because Norf have closed in at the stoppages, hence long quarters.  Just can't seem to get a handball off. But he's still in it imo.

No Hogan, no Gawn the big difference still. No real forward targets or structure. We're winging it, just.

Salo got Higgins a beauty as well with his elbow. Not sure if anyone saw that at the ground.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
