I thought he wouldn't make it after a few games.

Well done Neville.  Who would have thought that they refer to Lewis as 'Neville's cousin'.

Really happy for you Nev. Always loved your hardness and work ethic which got you drafted. Those same traits saw the FD putting faith in you to give you a second shot which you grabbed by the throat.

A well deserved milestone

Has been an absolute rock this season, having a very good start to the year. Well done to him fighting back from being delisted to cracking 100. This got a few more years in him so keep up the good work!

This era's Whelan.

Gets the job done with a minimum of fuss week in week out.

He's a much better defender than Wheels IMO. I can't recall a better 1-on-1 small defender at Melbourne in the last 30 years.

He's one of those heart and soul type of players that every team needs but not every team has.

Worth mentioning his outstanding work in the community and his mentoring of younger players. Deserves all the recognition he gets

Little legend. One of my favourites.

His agility is his weapon. Not the fastest, but one of those "couldn't tackle him in a phonebox" type players.

Well done Nev, Tough nut.

Wrecker, Allan Johnston and many other tough nut back pockets salute you.

And when you retire (not soon though), breed like a stallion and produce a litter of tough nuts for future years.

But well done, You have been through some tough years.. hopefully better times and some finals appearances are coming sooner rather than later.

Fantastic effort for one of our bravest, hardest working, most consistent and unassuming players, who worked his way from oblivion to one of the first picked each week (despite silly pre-season rumours).

Here's to 100 more!

Huge admiration for his resilience and tenacity. Congratulations on 100 games. May there be many more.

Spent about 20 mins talking to him before he was delisted, just after some shoulder surgery, about 6-7 years ago. I was impressed then and he has remained one of my favourites. And it really annoys me when he is referred to as a battler, or hard worker etc... because it undervalues him. He has genuine evasive skill, wins one-on-ones regularly, is a strong mark, and an outstanding club man.

Well done, Nev, now for the next 100.

Does anyone else find themselves saying, "Thank God for Neville Jetta" a few times a game?

He's easily our most composed Backman. He saves so many goals.

One of my absolute favourite players.

A better small defender than anyone else at our club since Alan Johnson.

Yep, better than Wrecker!

Ahem, Matty Whelan???

Would be one of the first picked any week by any coach. Is a model of consistency and getting the most of out of yourself by playing to your strengths. In probably the best era of small forwards seems to have all of them covered. Roos mentioned last week on Fox Footy he is one of, if the best he has seen at knowing when to come off your man and help your team mates.

Not many could you say deserve their 100 more than Nev.

Nev's philosophy,  keep it simple

I like Nev :)

If you watch the video on Club website, says he was going to walk away, he was not saying that lightly, if family had said walk away, he would have

Roos told him to get fit, stay injury free and play as a small defender, the rest would sort itself out

One of my favorites! Up there with Wrecker Whelan, Jeff Farmer and Aaron Davey as my all time favorite indigenous players.

An absolute rock in defence who is our best defender when in form.

Good luck Nev! Now im excited to see your boy play for the dees in years to come.

Has given me (and I would guess a lot of us) some of my favourite pure football moments. All those times when he has won or split a contest he had no right to, and then gone right at the next one.

Should be too slow to have got there, should be too short to make the spoil, should be too small to bring the opponent down, should be too unskilled to be reliable with the ball.

Neville Jetta has something truly elite inside his skull.
