So so Melbourne - this is part of who we are unfortunately. Nothing's changed.

Bottom 4 team just kicked 8 goals in a row on us. Just let that sink in.

Paul Roos 3 years of work undone in a quarter.

Just abysmal. 0.3 to 7.4.

We look slow, our positioning and skill execution is hopeless.

Take that Watts shot at goal from the boundary. Low percentage option.  How about we construct a set shot from 30 metres out in the corridor.

Absolutely disgusting effort today. The players should have to forfeit their pay for the day. They simply haven't earnt it. We're losing to a bottom 4 team that's flown half way across the country to play. Absolutely pathetic effort. Even if we get up and win from here they shouldn't be [censored] ashamed of themselves!

Typical weak pathetic shite Melbourne.

We are a perennial shite club and showing every bit of it today. Why I bother spending 8 hours travelling to amd from the ground to continually baffles me. We just stink it up continually.

Jack Viney is a complete liability his year. He can't even stick a tackle anymore let alone get a clean disposal. I'd make a statement and drop him.

Lack of ruthlessness when five goals ahead. Freo midfield is seriously good and has exposed ours as pretenders.

Tag Jones and gang tackle Oliver and we have nothing. Tyson and Viney are limited players.

My three memberships are going back to the club. That was the final straw, I'm done with this club.

We have been exposed. Such a great start to the year but we are back to the club that unfortunately too many of us remember.

How important was it to build on last years wins. I have a feeling we will finish 10th.

It is depressing... I wish I could change teams. Oh to have that winning feeling and be happy in life.

Wow. What an insipid quarter of footy.

Watching Jack Viney get brushed aside like Cale Morton probably the most confusing part.

Let's see a good response.

This might blow out. Looking at them in the huddle...they *look* defeated.

You really couldn't pick a more Melbourne game.

We can still win.

If Goodwin can coach we will not let them touch it.

Im told we are just practising our strategy when coming from behind.

Have no fear.

For those of you gloating about the margins etc I worry about the delusion .

We are a young,flaky,confidence team.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
