Obviously any selection is only a guess at this time of year ...... but to leave Max out ..... stupidity.

I reckon the practice game he played against Carlton was off the the planet and Brownlow votes worthy.

Not a bad start to the season.

Sam Walsh is set to miss the first 4 games of the season. Limited preseason and a tricky injury to recover from i think he will struggle to make AA selection. Class player though

Pendlebury will be a weapon off halfback.

Depends how often he gets on the ground...the end comes fast at his age.

Better than Campbell Browns top 10 🤦‍♂️

Mind-numbing rubbish. So many things to complain about in this selection but I’ll just mention one: why does everyone rate Jeremy Cameron so high? Yes he could once play but what has he done for two seasons now?

He must want publicity for not picking Gawn.

The All Australian captain, premiership captain, hero who kicked a goal after the siren to win his team the minor premiership and tallest player ever to kick 5 goals in a final.

Seriously, who cares?

Also, one year, if Jackson is as good as I think he is, Gawn will be eclipsed and will move off to the undying lands…

… the forward pocket next to Fritsch.

Gawn out is madness! I also expect BBB to kick 70 plus goals and play FF in this team

I don't even think Darcy is the best young ruckman going around, i genuinely don't understand the hype, he's looked good against average opposition, but been belted by the Gawn's and Nic Nats of the world.

2 Positions that stuck out to me were Amon on the wing and Naughton at FF.  LOL.

Football commentator makes prediction...

Supporters outraged.... more clicks on website.... more advertising... football commentator given pat on back by boss for creating website traffic... football commentator makes more crazy prediction... more supporter outrage...

I think I see a pattern.

Good thoughts Jontee.

I think your'e on to something re: Max and if true that's Ok,  but Pendelbury is laughable.

Naughton's underwhelming GF performance soundly beaten by My questions King's 'Insights".  So thus they are predictions which is what the game is al about anyway.  He does love salem so credit there that he's consistent in his selection for that position and recognises him in his team.  Last year he felt Salem was the key to the Dees and oppos needed a plan for him.

But great article for clickbait and King to remain relevant. I can just hear him quoting Champion data as justification.

I have no issues with Max being excluded. Jackson should take time from him, and Darcy is a beast.

The biggest problem with King’s team is he’s named 5 defenders, a ruck and 2 forwards and flooded the rest of the side with on ballers. Even Amon isn’t a full time winger anymore.

If you wanted to pick the best 14 midfielders just write a list of them. Don’t hide it in a team.

Sad part is that's normally how the AA team goes. Big blokes who look like Tarzan play like Jane, a token small forward, best 2 full backs for the year and midfielders

For the record I think David King can have whomever he wants in he's PREDICTED AA team. The top 50 players list are blowing my mind. Dusty Martin and Nat Fyfe are shadows of their former selves and are constantly rated top 10 players, players like Walsh, Touk Miller and Parish destroy games all year and are ignored 🤷🏽‍♂️

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

    TRAINING: Monday 13th January 2025

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti
