6 Gawn! - He was immense today. Double-teamed by Witts and Grundy, he had 30 HO to their combined 34, 16 disposals to their 19 and five marks to their 3. Worth two opponents.

5. Hogan - Massive target up forward. Great return

4. Vince - 29 Disposals and three goals. Perfect attacking midfielder's game.

3. Viney - I can't believe how much he's improved this year. Under every pack, makes nails look soft.

2. Watts - Damaging on the wing, dropped back to help the defence and hit the scoreboard. This is how he needs to play his footy.

1. Jetta - Great defensive game yet again. Could have gone for glory and had a goal as well, but he did the team thing and gave it off to the captain.

2 - Hogan ( always a target and rarely let his teammates down)

6 - Bernie - dominant in every facet, will be shocked if he doesnt win the Bley

5 - Max Gawn - took on Witts and Grundy on his own and won. A star in the making.

4 - Jack Watts - took the game on , this was the game he has been building toward. Buried some demons (pardon the pun)

3 - Jack Viney - another fantastic game and hes starting to really make his mark on the comp

2 - Nev Jetta - still the most underrated player in the AFL, never gets beaten

1 - Jesse Hogan - thats 32 goals and counting in 15 games in his first year... and some payback for getting beaten by Frost on QB.

Apologies to many others especially the skipper

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
