  1. I love him. I've got a great photo with him. He was (and presumably still is) super friendly.
  2. Wow !! I went to the match with my thirdborn who was down from Sydney. We had the best time. It was a great match ... Not sure I can add much to previous comments. So good to have this win with so many youngies in the team. I'm especially pleased for Ghostwriter et al.
  3. Sportsbet have Freo at $1.29. Looks overs to me. I got on Freo earlier in the week @ $1.45. Hope I lose my money ... (not likely!)
  4. I'm going to the match too ... with my daughter. Not child cruelty because she's 27 ...and it was her idea!! Re the match itself. What could possibly go wrong?
  5. I feel sorry for Fullarton. Thankfully he has got his deserved opportunity, but it's against a top backline. Pearce, Cox, Ryan (?) are seriously good players, so the chances of him (Fullarton) doing much in his first Demons hitout are not good. He should have been selected against Essendon, which would have potentially given him an easier/more realistic assignment. His performance should be assessed in this light. And, subject to showing at least something, he shouldn't be dropped after just one match. Good luck young fella.
  6. I was at that match. You were awesome !!
  7. According to my ex wife, everything's my fault. So I'll put my hand up. Sorry.
  8. I watched the match (or at least part of it) at the Sporting Globe. It used to be a stronghold of Demons supporters watching interstate matches. Sadly we were outnumbered by Essendon supporters. They were so disgusting!! I left at half time. Couldn't stand it (or them) any more. My thirdborn is coming down to Melbourne (from Sydney) for Easter. She asked whether I wanted to go to the Freo match. "Sure" I said ... what could possibly go wrong?
  9. At least I saw a flag.
  10. I've bet against the Dees 4 times this season. Money for old rope.
  11. Not ideal.
  12. I had zero hope.
  13. Surely it was a 'football act' ?
  14. I have a plan so cunning you could call it a weasel. Long bombs into the forward line lead to defenders having Oxley like stats. For some reason, forwards don't want to/can't lead, or if they do, they are ignored. So, why not kick it to grass, and let the forwards run onto the ball? At least they won't be outmarked. MFC coaching staff ... you're welcome.
  15. I have been very pessimistic about the Dees this year. To the extent of putting money on GWS, Gold Coast and Jee-long. I didn't bet on Norf cos I thought we'd at least win that one. I'm not betting at all on Round 5 cos I think there's a chance we'll beat Essendon.
