We better get used to this over the next few years. 

Jesse is going to be one of those guys, who may get injured, is carrying an injury, or recovering from an injury. 

The physios and doctors are going to be busy. 

And the hearts of Demon supporters will in their mouths every time he comes down awkwardly and gets up limping.

I'm with TeamPlayedFine39 (above) on this.  Since his back injury it wouldn't be unrealistic to expect that the team doctors send him off for scans following a few preseason hit-outs, just to satisfy themselves that Hogan is suffering no ill effects and will go into season proper fully fit... far better to be pro-active than reactive.

Lets hope its simple. It does go to show how hopes can so easily get undone though doesnt it. i have strong memories of the preseason when Charles, Schwatz and  Jakovich all got injured ( all three of the cusp of being absolute mega stars) and all three were virtually career ending. My head protested but I knew in my heart we weren't going to win that flag which had seemed so close. To win one you just got to have the footy gods on your side....or in the case of GWS have the odds so heavily stacked in your favor that even the gods cant stop it.

We need a really good run if we're going to sneak one in the coming GWS era. Fingers firmly crossed on Jesse

Agree with most above.  When you have an asset like JH it would be negligent not to have regular precautionary scans with his history.  I am a believer in "where there's smoke...etc" but I for one would be very pleased if the club kept a close eye on this..

He's had finger issues/surgery in recent times too I believe. Might be a problem relating that that?

That's true, the Hawks and Geelong wins were our 2 best wins since 2006 and he was absent in both games.

On the flip side, I still can't believe we lost to St Kilda last year when he kicked 7.
