One of our worst quarters for the years followed by one of our best! Should have kicked 6 that term.

Not without a chance but I suspect the 1st quarter will be the difference in the end result.

Good to see the young guys leading the midfield. Viney Tyson etc

Matt jones playing well

Much better quarter, two main reasons: lifted midfield intensity, and fewer awful mistakes.

Didn't convert as well as we should have (4.4 to 2.0) but at least we stemmed the tide and evened it up.

I'm a huge Matt Jones critic but have been thoroughly impressed by his run and carry today.

Hogan's set shot routine reminds me a bit of Nick Riewoldt of late. A small stutter but gets good momentum into the kick, keeps it low and simple.

Paul Roos must have had a few bongs in the morning, that's the only reason I can explain playing Cross on Boomer...

We'd be 4 goals up if we bothered to turn up in the first quarter.

I'm confident we can bring this one home.

Shane McInerney has paid about 5 frees as the second umpire. He loves the attention that bloke.

The most impressive part of that half was Lumumba's run off half back. I hope our guys take heart from the fact that North defenders are [censored] themselves when we get it in quickly/one-on-one to Dawes and Hogan. We need Bernie to lift big time. He's a little lazy today, playing off his man. Perhaps, he's just rolled the dice at the wrong times?

Fox Footy showing highlights of our last win against the Roos (back when Neitz was playing, that’s how long ago it was). It was a comeback from 5 goals down. Sound familiar? I hope so.

Big Benny Brown will be black and blue tonight. Sitting behind the goals and Dunny has been giving it to him all quarter. Hits him every chance he can.

I must say Howe's interceptions have been very important, I really hope we re-sign him, stuffed up a few times early but has good safe hands and provides a good link to attack.

Really impressed, also fantastic that it is Tyson and viney leading the midfield charge while the older statesmen in jones, viney and cross have struggled. Shows we finally have some depth in the midfield!

Look what happens when you put a bit of pressure on the opposition, especially north. They were all over the shop in that quarter mainly due to the pressuring and tackling we applied that quarter which was non existent in the 1st

Vince also very quiet. I just hope we can put in strong third quarter. A major weakness all year.

I love Dunn's niggling. If a player from another club was doing it to one of ours, I'd call it low. But I love seeing Dunn get under the skin of forwards each week. Call me a hypocrite, but we need that kind of thing at times.

Great game that one. Down by about 20 at half-time and ended up winning by 40. Here's hoping!!!

Game on. I am suprised...

Hold onto that suprise SWYL we haven't had the third quarter yet!

North Melbourne go to water when the pressure it put on them, so if we can do that in the 2nd half we should be in with a shot. Really missing Vandenberg for that reason.

Yze's 200th and Jonesy's first game?

Umpiring has been atrocious again. Two different interpretations of holding the ball depending on which jumper you're wearing.

I don't think we can complain too much about the umpiring today. We've had a good run forward of centre. I can't recall any HTB's I wouldn't have paid and they even paid one against Swallow for ducking.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
