Was told 6 weeks ago by someone at Geelong that the Cats would be offering Taylor Hunt for Blease in a straight swap.

I'd be rapt if we could get anything for him.

Forget Hunt, try to get Smedts off them. It would take more than Blease, but it's not like he's a regular starter for them.

Maybe Sam Blease to Giants and we get Sam Frost.

I like the sound of that one.

I have been reliably informed that Blease will be traded to Carlton for Mitch Robinson.

Source would like to remain anonymous.

(source would not let me post until now, when I said the link to Carlton was on twitter he gave the go ahead for me to post)

I'm not a Robinson fan but he is a better player than Blease IMO.

I'd send him packing for Garlett. At least Jeffy boy has proved he can play a full year and kick some sausages.

But really couldn't care either way

I'd do a Watts/Blease double for Yarran/Docherty in a heartbeat.

So we really want to bring in the guy who concussed Rohan Bail behind play? Gee, what could possibly go wrong?

I was there that day, very very ugly, wonder what Ro BAIL makes of this potentiality??

Geelong are verging on delisting Hunt.

Wouldn't do a trade because we'd likely get him for free if we really want him.

No, you would do a trade. If he's delisted we would take him as a delisted free agent, potentially weakening the Frawley compo. Alternatively it would be through the draft or PSD, but I'd hope we could get someone better through the PSD. You're essentially trading out someone who is most likely going to be delisted in a straight swap for him - nothing to lose other than giving him a spot on the list, avoiding having to wait for him in the draft.

That's not right. There is a period starting about a week after the grand final and ending on 13 October, 2014 when clubs can pick up free agents who are either restricted FA's or unrestricted. Compensation is usually determined a few days after that.

Delisted free agents can be taken after that time and without compensation playing a part.

Football incident...what happens on the field stays on the field. Lockett busting Peter Caven's cheek bone didn't seem to affect his becoming a Swan or his acceptance in the team.

I agree DemonOX but it may not say much as almost everyone is better than Blease.

I thought it was Aaron Joseph who hit Bail, but I could be wrong.

It was definitely Robinson.

Any chance the Bullants have of exploiting Coburg’s defensive frailties though look slim, with Brad Fisher absent and Mitch Robinson serving the second week of his two match suspension for striking the Casey Scorpions’ Rohan Bail.

Robinson may be an OK player, but is a rubbish human.

Please PLEASE don't bring him to our club. He makes me physically ill and we don't need the trouble he brings. Not remotely a good enough player to turn a blind eye to that sort of stuff.

For what I've seen of him he isn't that bad. Certainly way better than Blease. In regards to his stupity, all players deserve a second chance. I remember one "Martin Pike" who was a bit of a head case, but now 4 time premiership player!

Sane post Clint - off the pot tonight?

I think it would be a touch easier to swallow in Lockett's case than in Robinson's.

Onto the red! In a lovely Reidel glass too. In the mood for some decent conversation tonight. May resist the keyboard though!

Get some practice in DE because it's nearly grand final week and we all know your explosive posting on GF day!

We couldn't be so lucky that Bail would request a trade could we?

I think Robinson is a total fwit, and I would need help in accepting him, but like I did with Moorcroft, I just did.

He's a far better player than Blease (on current output), and I would argue that he has more to offer than Bail, so if Rohan doesn't like a Blease for Robinson trade, then I won't lose sleep if it ends up costing us two players.

Caven was not happy about it at all.

Made a big stink about it and eventually the Swans sacked Caven as they could not work together. Caven went to Adelaide and won two flags.

Loved hearing Robert Shaw on SEN reminiscing about his time at the crows, 2 weeks ago.

Mentioned his time with recruiting Caven, and how the Adelaide media tore shreds off him for the recruitment, running with headlines of "PETER WHO??"

Also funny to hear about Freo not being keen on keeping Andrew McLeod, who they had first dibs on, being a new club entering the competition. They thought they needed KPPs and wanted the Crows' big forward Chris Groom, who the crows said "Groom? No chance! We like Groom!"

Then the chairman immediately said "GET CHRIS GROOM ON THE PHONE!"

Groom was in London for the end-of-season trip, and they said "Chris, you're going to Fremantle."

"But I don't want to go to Fre-"

"YOU'RE GOING TO BLOODY FREMANTLE!"

Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
