I'm not going for Hawthorn or Sydney! I will be hoping the team with SMFC on the back of their jumpers comes out on top. SOUTH MELBOURNE!!!

We can't have Hawthorn equalling our total premierships won can we? South Melbourne to win by 17 points.

For once I am rather ambivalent about this one.

I have until this year had a great respect for the Swans, but the blatant misuse of the spirit of the COLA in buying Tippett then Franklin has me saying enough is enough.

However ... the Hawks?? If they do beat the Swans, I hope Roughead has a big day out and Franklin an absolute stinker.

Is there a game this weekend ?

Flip a coin I say, they are so evenly matched. Can't believe the betting agencies have the Swans so much in front. But what would I know, the Hawks seem blessed to me, Port could have blown them away if they kicked straight last week in the first quarter and then ran all over them at the end but lost. My bet tomorrow is that Buddy will have a 3 goal 7 effort rather than the reverse and give the Hawks hope till the end.

Lose-lose situation. I'm with Monoccular.

Dawks win yet another flag? Ugh...

Would prefer Swans, but hate the sight of Buddy when he scores a goal: the out thrust arms, the wiggling fingers, the arrogant strut. Revolting. Reach for the bucket.

Was looking at some past grand final on TV tonight. The players back then seemed so humble by comparison.

I'm not watching a minute of it tomorrow. Will have a quiet kick with my daughters down the park.

Hawks for me. Swans have been scamming the system for years and the Hawks have been just bona fide good and honest top line competitors just like I wish we were. But I know for sure who Roos is barracking for.

Completely ambivalent. Living in Sydney at the moment, so if I go out to a pub here to watch I'd best pretend to support the Swans, lest I get bashed!

ill probably be so drunk by 3/4 time that i wont care....

However, the thought of the hawks equaling us for flags hurts so ill be going for the swannies. thats reason enough i guess.

i think the hawks will pinch it though.

I am a 44 year old Melbourne fan.

I have 1 brother. He is a 55 year old Hawthorn fan.

We grew up in Camberwell deep in Hawthorn territory.

I went to the 1988 Grand Final with my brother.

Anyone but bloody Hawthorn.

I am hoping the Hawks are 5 points up deep in the last quarter. Buddy takes a mark 70 metres out. The siren goes. Buddy runs out wide on his natural arc. The umpire fails to call play on. Buddy dobs it.

I do love my brother!

Snagged $4 on the Hawks To Win so I thought 'why not?' Not much else riding on this game for me though - the past few years I've always backed the Hawks in because of my Grandfather and his passion for them but since he's passed my allegiance has dissipated - he also lost a lot of love for the game in his later years since it's changed a lot since he was playing.

Also wouldn't mind seeing Sydney win as I think it might create an interesting 'No more COLA' movement if they were to run over the Hawks easily - more football drama that doesn't involve the Dees but something that might help us out in the short/long term.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
