Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]

I'd be rapt to get pick 33 for a bloke that's played 15 games in 3 years. It would be ludicrous to 'send him to the draft on principle' rather than take pick 33.

Send the pick straight to Collingwood for Lamumba and take the 60 decent games and fanatical training standards Lamumba will provide.

There is no way in hell that Geelong will let him go to the draft.

They want him, he will play in their best 22 even if it is 15 games per year he is a bargain, they will pay!

Play hardball or the draft! F him.

For a player they don't want? Good luck with that. I will be [censored] if we have to pay more for him than what we get for Mitch.

That's about where I'm at as well. How do Collingwood have any bargaining power in this deal? In fact, I'd be getting them to pay half Lumumba's wages for the first year while they're at it.

I wouldnt trade 2 and 3 we should take the 2 best mids avaliable. Offer Merret and Malcheski 2-3 year deals we get Harretier for the Clarke Pick and then trade a player or 3 to get someone good . Pick up a ruck maybe the hawks 4 th in line.

Anyone want a shot at closest to the pin at this stage :

We have to draft 3 kids minimum (including rookie upgrades).

I'd be taking brayshaw at 2 and downgrading 3 to either the suns for 7,15 or to the dogs for a player and 6

I meant we will still have picks after the trade but maybe none of the ones we currently have eg if we were to trade 2/3 for Danger/Bulldogs. Ditto up and down grade later picks for players etc

Gotcha.

I'd definitely entertain the Suns scenario.

agreed we should take brayshaw as soon as we can, missing him would be a real [censored]. trading our 3rd pick to doggies or GC with a promise to take Brayshaw at 2 would mean no real loose in their pick for a tall.

Are you sure it says we have to draft kids? I thought we had to turn the list over by 3. No one is saying the list won't get changed by 3, but that could be Harry O, Frost and Jetta coming onto the primary list. It's obviously going to be more, and some of our picks will come from the draft, but it's not a requirement as such, at least to my knowledge.

What about doing a deal with the Suns whereby we trade #3, #23 and #61 for Sam Day, #7 and #49?

Change Sam Day to Tom Lynch

Posted

Fact we had a crack at Dalhaus might suggest we're not focused om an already convinced Dangerfield.

Posted

Lynch is worth #3 on his own.

More. One of the true 'untradeables' in my opinion. Going to be a star that kid

I think getting the Dalhaus move out in the media is to let the Saints know if they trade down to pick 4 they may miss out on the tall they wanted. If they are less likely to trade it our picks again become more valuable as they are the only ones in the market. Or GWS can't take the mid we want.
