I hope he does really well.

If he plays poorly it means he was likely a dud all along. If he plays well then we were just as much fault in his failure as he was.

Im surprised he was picked... he had 21 disposals and couple of goals last week in the wafl but other then that he has been stinking it up pretty badly. Just on form if he had stayed with us he still wouldn't have played a senior game for us this year.

Would they finish last every year because Sylvia's presence would cause them to play shite every game, or would they win the Premiership every year because every game they play has Colin Sylvia playing in a Richmond game--in which he invariably looks a million bucks?

That is giving him too much credit I think. 1) He left as a free agent. I suspect he would have left whether the club was compensated or not. 2) The credit goes entirely to the club for the astute trade of the Colin Sylvia compensation pick to Adelaide for Bernie Vince. It was a good trade, but not one Sylvia had any input in to.

Maybe there should be free agency for supporters. Some of ours might get a better deal elsewhere and allow us to make some improvement in the fan base.
