I have no problem with this. If I were in his situation, I'd want to know who I was playing for as well. Not just the coach but the board and the entire makeup of the FD are going to be decided in the next few months. He'd feel like a bit of an idiot if he signed and they then appointed someone who he clashed with as badly as Beamer did with Neeld. Nobody wins out of that.

Thanks, that explains it all, his manager, nothing to do with Jack, never speaks to his manager at all, probably never even met him , clears that up.

Paul Connors has been in this game too long to accidentally mean "Watts is waiting on the club to sort itself out". Watts is definitely waiting for the new coach. Maybe he'll sign regardless of who the coach is, but this way he can make it look like he's supportive of whoever they pick, then the masses can agree and say "hey THIS coach must be the one for us... Jack says so..."
