Go and get Gaff!

I really doubt Gaff is heading to the Dee's. I wouldn't be against bringing a good player to the club, but i don't see the logic in chasing an older mid when a younger one who is as good already will be available next season.

Who is the younger mid that will be a FA like Gaff and not cost us another 2 first round picks?

Different scenarios.

I've been told that a Melbourne player who lined up in the prelim will be at the Saints next year, but I don't know the name.

I can only guess Tyson, even though I doubt he's what they need.

Can you wrap that up in a riddle please Prodee?

All I've seen since the big Norf offer came to light is that it was them or nothing.

I am not completely across the FA process, but Gaff can go wherever he likes right?

Is he obligated in any way to go where WC want him to go?  e.g. a club that offers a sweetener vs a club that doesn't?

Is he obligated to go to whoever makes the biggest offer or can he decide to take a smaller contract and play for who he actually wants to?

He can choose the suitor, regardless of offer, but Eagles have the right to match

The Saints are casting the net far and wide, D Kent has had a medical eye cast over him by them.

He may not be, which I agree with you on, but I'm hearing Crows are showing some interest in Dunstan so maybe they are looking at Tyson as another insider

"Will be available" is such a far off Longshot. If gaff nominates us, we make it happen. Simple as that. I'm a believer in seizing the moment in regards to quality. It's why our FD took Petty in the draft. We didn't need a developing kPD, but they couldn't believe Petty slid to our draft pick so we had to seize the opportunity. In this case we do actually need gaff.

Would be funny if Billings came back in this trade.

To me Gaff is gone from WC as if he was staying he would be announcing it now, to give them a lift for the GF.

I would think that on monday or tuesday he will announce his preferred club.

According to Pro Dee's source that will be the Roos.

That will see a few dominos start to fall, as for one, the Eagles will be into Kelly, the Cats' one, big time.

This is going to be an interesting 3 weeks.

It might make Gaff's decision difficult if we got to within 100k of Norf's offer. Freeing up 800k by trading Hogan could help this

Agree we could be back in this now.

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
