This is Goodwin and Viney's club now. Couldn't be happier. Picks Shmicks. We got the biggest fish available in trade time.

Only really disappointing thing is that we lost next year's first rounder. But we'll still come out ahead with Lever. The kid is unbelievable.

Watts time was done, it's that simple. We have things to achieve as a club and Watts wasn't going to help us.

Good luck to Jack at Port. I'll be watching Port games, hoping he plays well, and that he gets to experience finals.

Market value is what the market'll pay. Jack is 26, played 150 games and should be coming into his prime. He is on the market and only 2 clubs show interest, one of which, Geelong,  shows only lukewarm interest. That is the footy industry telling Jack what they think he is worth, and its less than the market value his talent warrants.  He is the same position as Menzel, who scored 40 goals this year, but seems likely to have to accept a one year deal with a pay cut at the Cats. The lesson is simple. What do you do when you don't have the ball is as important as what you do when you have the ball. Both Jack and Daniel have ample skill with ball in hand, indeed they have more skill with ball in hand than a few of the Richmond Premiership forwards, but they don't match their intensity when they don't the ball.

I feel like he won't apply himself, he'll do for Port what he did for us, and they won't tolerate it, just like we were unwilling to do.

A fresh start is likely to offer some change of behaviour. Whether it’s sustainable is the question that most of us already know.

It is a fantasy that the FD's voting in the B&F seem to have believed over the window Jibroni quoted.  Maybe they changed their minds for all sort of reasons, but you can't just dismiss it as you have.

At the start of the year I said to a mate that the worst thing that can happen this year is that Collingwood will knock us out of the eight in the final round  and both Howe and Dunn will be playing.  The next worse thing I said would be that Watts (because Goodwin and he wont work)would be dealt at seasons end.  So all in all, the end of my footy season has been gut wrenching.  

This will [censored] me for many years.  In the same way it would [censored] me if I lost a good watch.  Or accidently run over my trusty, loyal, resilient dog.  The only medicine that will heal will be a premiership before Port Power.  So get cracking all you coaching staff and FD gurus who don't see Jack Watts as an important asset to a footy team, make me believe.
