How long have we waited for our team to play like that:  Fearless Football - has a nice ring to it! 

No more stinging criticisms of Demons, like: a team that doesn't stand for anything; a team and a club no longer irrelevant.

Now for the team and the coaches to 'walk the talk'.

Must admit, on reading 'Fearless Football' I heard echoes of the 'Hardest Team to Play Against' comment by Neeld, also before he had coached a game.  And, I cringed a little. 

I am more optimistic this time as the team has much more substance.  Nonetheless, I wait with bated breath and really hope Goodwin gets off to a good start (ie early wins and more wins than losses) for him and for us.

These words do mean little but I prefer the positive connotations with being fearless compared to Neeld's game plan which pretty much came down to parking the bus and kicking it down the boundary.

A quick ball movement style does sound good to me. We'll play defenders who can run and intercept and not be afraid of conceding a few goals and we should move the ball and look to score. Win more than we lose out of the middle and then in a fast paced open game you've got the advantage and just need to execute. 

I'm worried we'll still be short on the ideal composure from the backline and knowing when to slow down and share the ball a bit. Sometimes you have to tease out an opening in a teams defending, you can't always counter. Also I'm worried our forward line is just a little short on goal kickers and just a little short on guys who can make that inside 50 kick. So it won't all work perfectly. But hey, let's have a go. Young teams are meant to be fearless, fast and aggressive.

You can't ever write off a team that plays this brand of football before the final siren, even if the other side has some momentum and is in front on the scoreboard at stages during the game.

No one would dispute that, and it's applicable to every media conference ever conducted. It's still good to hear the direction the club is heading in on the field, and it's a direction we can no doubt get behind.

To be fair to Neeld, having no discernible game plan probably made it hard for opposition teams to work out what the hell was going on.

Just earn the bloody respect on the field with actions/winning more often than not and stop trash talking FFS. Great teams find any way to win more games than they lose. They don't rely on one particular way or style and they certainly don't go around forecasting prior to having sustained success. I hope this is the last time we hear this BS

No it was the opposite,  it made it easy to work out,  I remember Simon black saying a week before round 1 that they had already worked out our gameplan.
