Pedobear is the most reliable contested mark on our list.  His signing is sound insurance while Hogan and Weideman are developing.

Has come a long way since his Melbourne debut against Port Adelaide in Round 1 a few years back.

Congrats Pedders!

Will be interesting to see where he sits in Goodwin's pecking order.

Pity we didn't win the draft pick.  Daniel Talia, my selection and many on Demonland, was still there.

A classic "serviceable" player .  Shouldn't we be looking to recruit possibly  the next Boyd or Patton ?

I'm sure the recruiting dept are capable of doing more than one thing at once.

Should be a breeze with pick 44, but if we're really lucky, a player touted to go no.1 overall with slip through to pick 62.

Good on you Cam stood up really well in the Hawks win, let's hope he has a good 2017 for us. Go Dee's!!!

I watched him at Box Hill in the last Casey home and away: he was sensational. Casey might have won the flag had he not been surgeonized....

I'm glad he's been retained. He isn't a great player but he gives 100%, all of the time.

Go Pedders

Pedersen is there to buy Weideman time.  This is an indication that the club does not want to put undue pressure on its young players.  It's just a responsible signing rather than an exciting one.

Clearly he sits above Dawes.

Dawes was a protected species under Roos. I bet Goody had to bite his tongue quite a bit during match committee.

Really pleased about that he isn't the most exciting player on our list but he's reliable and you get pretty much the same from him week in week out, he's also a better option in the ruck than Jack. Give him 60 to 70% game time a week to give Max, Hogan and Weed a chop out.

Thought we were crazy to give away Gysberts for Pedders at the time. Yet here we are.

Did Gysberts even play a game at North?

Good contested mark , good kick for goal ,and can play ruck.

Took some spectacular grabs this year too.

Honest competitor who is perfect insurance while Weideman develops

Such a solid bloke (literally, metaphorically) - clutch goal (and diving mark) against Hawthorn - won us the game.

Concur with Deezee - perfect Insurance.

Just a good decision. For the club and for the player. Solid contributor, and every army needs solid soldiers. On occaision Pedobear can be much better than a solid soldier, but that's a bonus, not the reason to sign him.

Simply a solid decision by a (now) solid club.

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
