QFT. Guys, we're not doubting his capabilities on the field.
-
They wanted to delist him this year but feared the ramifications would be costly from a PR standpoint. Instead they'll let it happen naturally. Every chance he just walks out mid season - hopefully without fuss. This guy is simply deranged. The extreme opposite of Mitch Clark. I hope we have better psych screening of players from here on.
-
Oh good. So he's no longer mourning Muhammad Ali then ?! First player cut after next year. Take it to the bank.

Like it or not, Essendon v Hawthorn is a massive fixture and will draw a huge crowd. Two clubs with big Victorian followings and two teams with a completely different look. Bulldogs pulled the short straw. They should play St Kilda at Etihad. Collingwood host Melbourne on in the traditional Saturday 2.10 slot would've been nice. But Richmond v Carlton is extraordinary. Why do they persist with this one ? Sure it will draw 50,000 but the game has been a fizzer for at least the past 2 years.

FAREWELL BEN NEWTON VIV MICHIE AND MAX KING
Milesh replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I disagree. In fact I think Casey will be stronger as relative journeymen get replaced by young talent pushing hard for a increasingly difficult spot in the Dees 22. -
Any chance we can beat Carlton and Essendon next year?
Milesh replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
They had their chance against the Blues and Dons and should've beaten North. A couple more experienced bodies should tip them over the line, and they've got that now. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - PATRICK MCKENNA
Milesh replied to Stretch Johnson's topic in Melbourne Demons
Who is this guy ? What needs does he fill ? Why did they not find a ruckman ? And who is this guy ? Demonland - the place where everyone thinks the Emperor's wearing but only the finest of robes. -
I remember the board being so arrogant and dismissive of members during the Q&A. Even child members copped it re: Woey. Those years were about the elitist power struggle. Football came a distant second.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JORDAN LEWIS
Milesh replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
Don't forget the Daniel Cross experience. He was instrumental in keeping our 2014 season afloat, and I was disappointed we didn't extend his contract. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JORDAN LEWIS
Milesh replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
I am too. He's as slow as a wet week. However our list is young, emerging but immature. Lewis' leadership outweighs his decline in skills, speed or fitness in this instance. I'd prefer recruiting his type in a year's time, when we might really be threatening, but who's to say we are guaranteed such success ? The Geelong and Carlton games prove the list still needs some direction. -
Pedobear is the most reliable contested mark on our list. His signing is sound insurance while Hogan and Weideman are developing.
-
A second-to-third tier club with a young and developing list is not the type to recruit club off-cuts. If Hannath was no good to Freo, then he is no good to us. Likewise Minson. He's old hat anyway. I would move on Nankervis because of his athleticism, however I am certain Melbourne have something in the works.

Jesse Hogan re-signs to end of Season 2019

Let me guess - it was Judd's grandmother ? -
I have nothing to share. I was hoping Demonlanders would.

Still no mention of Jackson Trengove ? I thought Demonland was a treasure trove of insider mail ? Colour me disappointed !!
-
I'm surprised so few of you, if any, have thought to mention Jackson Trengove in KP-ruck discussions.
-
One thing is for certain -- anyone predicting that we'll take two (or three) first-round picks into the draft simply does not know how Paul Roos operates. If negotiations for Dangerfield or GWS players fall through, expect something to shaken loose from the tree.

How old are you? 50? Get with the professional times, man. Do you care about players or wins?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA
Milesh replied to Moonshadow's topic in Melbourne Demons
I see a man who is articulate and profound but hardly speaks with conviction. I'm not decrying him for his passion but if he dialled it down a little bit, I can guarantee less of us would be uncomfortable. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BILLY STRETCH
Milesh replied to e25's topic in Melbourne Demons
Perhaps. But the best midfielder was Heeney, followed by daylight, then Brayshaw and Petracca. Which is why I'd have no qualms trading both picks away this year. -

Or making a political statement that the system is flawed beyond meaning. -

The Nelson Mandela incarnate finished fourth in their B&F. Only one part of that sentence I care about. -
Worried and disgruntled about Roos' limited tenure

You raise a decent point, Ash. But if Miranda Kerr were to blow me for only a limited time, I'd be cool with that. -
"I do enjoy the irony that GNF is lauded as a God around here (and rightly so, I love him too, ha ha!) because he brings good news... but the moment you bring some bad news to the table it's automatically brushed off completely and there is no facts in it." No. I simply don't believe in people who talk with such arrogance.
