Could be worth it on a 2 year contract while Weed fills out a bit more?

I'm sure Weideman wil be happy to spend time at Casey "filling out a bit more" while a has-been like Cloke takes his place in the team. I don't see how, along with Hogan and Watts, you could fit all four.

I think Pedersen is under-rated. He adds a certain amount of hardness to the side when he's in, runs well and he's a good contested mark.

we had him last time , but eddie matched the offer , not sure we need him now , unless we trade out Dawes and Peterson

would have to be at a massive reduced rate than his 1.1mill per year,

he won't leave Vic , well I can confirm last time he had no intentions of leaving his family here , so lets see this time

money will talk

One of the more depressing aspects of D'land is seeing threads like this take up about 59 more posts than they deserve.

Lin Jong for Travis Cloke.

Done deal.

I am sure the North Koreans would be happy to see the last of their Dear Leader and Trav would be far more benign I am sure.

Haha well that was a negative response. My view was coming from the angle of we are still the youngest team in the league... it looks as if we are going to be cutting loose ped and or dawes at the end of the year, and what would happen if god for bid jesse went down for a few weeks next year and we had cut ped and dawes our forward line would be relying on hullett, weed and watts two of which would be still be teenagers.

Yes Travis has had a aweful year but maybe a change a scenery and role for Trav at a new club could resurrect his career in the final years and could be a valuable asset for the club ala Waite was for North. No one could have imagined him coming along as well as he did.

As a lot of the responses have been negative i must be in la la land since the hawks win so I guess the mods can shut this thread down.

Cheers

Haha don't be too down! This is a discussion forum after all! I think a lot of people on here also have a fair dislike towards him since seemingly every year it doesn't matter how he's playing he always seems to find a way to get up for us!

I think there are better options out there though. Could be quite funny though to see the look on Buckley's and Pies fans if he went to another club and did well! Loving Buckley's coaching there!

Ha I remember when the Dawes trade was happening, or was it before that. A fair chunk of this board were wetting themselves over him... Although that was back when he was able to kick.

On another note, why do the other club boards refer to us as GoDees? Is that a dig at our supporters not knowing players names?

I noticed that also. It's simply what we shout at games.... Go Dees

I saw it on a Norf thread, but I smiled.

We wont hear their screams when they take that massive plunge that is imminent.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
