THE MOST AWESOME POST MATCH THREAD EVER!!!

Was enough force to rock Watts' head back and he might get a week for it hopefully. He's been dishing out cheap shots his whole career and is one of the most cowardly gutless cheats to play the game in my lifetime. Nut punch to Daniel Kerr, repeated corkies against players who he knew who just couldn't beat fairly. Sam Mitchell is undeniably a sh*t bloke.

Add any number of Hawk players to that list. Hodge is ahead of Mitchell IMO.

I wonder if the Weideman family is quietly pleased that their kid, in his first game, played a real part in helping to defend Collingwood's 4-peat legacy, putting a nice little fracture in Hawthorn's late season run.

Grandfather, grandson, something to smile about together. They might even reconcile with the Demons over it.

Uncle is back. Been round to a Hawthorn acquaintance's house. Got the arse in the end. I complained about his booze and offended his missus .

Well [censored] them for barracking for a [censored] bunch of losers!!

She could have avoided your barbs, if she had simply made the correct sandwich in the first place.  (please dont jump on me for that, its a joke about hawthorn people, not women in general)

And if he wants to proffer faux top shelf liquor to his mates, he gets the profanities he deserves.

He is probably going by the old adage, "losers can please themselves"

Bit disappointed by Roos comments that we won't play finals. North have a very tough last 4 weeks and will lose tonight, could lose their next 3. If we win all 3 (probably won't, but still) and they lost their last 3, we make the 8.

Very unlikely and I'm being trivial, I know, but we're still a chance.

Back past the Aints again to sit in 10th, will hold it if they fall to Carlton tomorrow - can't see that happening though.

Whoever wins out of us and Port next week goes a game clear of the other.  Should have our sights on 9th place now.

He's also a sniper. It baffles me how he gets suspended multiple times for acts of thuggery belting guys in the face or trying to crunch their head into a goal post, how he gets done drink driving, yet gets talked about as such a good bloke. He's a dirty sniper.

Anyway [censored] him. And [censored] the Hawks. We smashed them. GO DEES!!!!!!

With today's loss, if Hawthorn slips up in the run home (they have North, West Coast away, and Collingwood), they could drop from 1st to 5th, given that each of GWS, Sydney, Adelaide and Geelong have a better percentage.

If we manage to shake them off the top and, even better, out of the top 2, forcing them on the road in the first week, that will almost make my year.

Oliver was absolutely sensational. Seriously. I watch him very closely and everytime he gets the ball the ability to just spot a player in a contest and release a handball is absolutely mouth watering.

Plus the kid is tough. Got up after Cyril's assault dusted off and improved through the game. That Gawn to Oliver to Brayshaw for a running goal was magical.

They're 3 games and 10 percentage points clear with 3 to go.  Come on mate, anything is possible, but that's such a low probability of happening that it's definitely not worth mentioning.

Dare to dream....looking at Norths run they could easily get thumped in a few of those Sydney and GWS......just did the ladder predictor, got us sneaking in by about 1.5% points.....then we play Geelong (again) followed by Whorethorn (again)......probably play Adelaide in the Granny.

Eventually got home. Well done to all those who managed the magical mystery tour on the Lilydale and Belgrave lines.

Probably cost quite a few extra patrons.

Was initially happy to be there to see the Weeds first goal, but Big Max was in a world of his own.

Just got better and better, the combined midfield effort was relentless.

Viney. Jonesy,Tyson  and Oliver fantastic.

Reckon we should have won by more as we had a couple of real clangers.

Just a great day at the footy.

If it took you until 8.30pm to get home, the trains must have been stuffed.

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had
