Dawes the most useless player in the comp. Garlett the laziest. Bernie Vince needs a huge kick in the arse for his recent form.

It is a win but feels like a loss.

There is a point where, if they don't play Hulett or Weideman, it's just plain wrong. Are we terrified that we'll miss out on Dawesy kicking a bag and holding a grab? It's not going to happen. I don't get it. Perhaps I need this logic explained to me

Really poor effort. Dawes is a waste of time and is no use to our team in the future. Vince must have taken some bad acid before the game.  Watts and stretch our best players.

We've all waited for Watts to have that special breakout game where he emphatically stamped himself on a game and would-be determined to win it. Just never thought it would be parceled up and wrapped in manure as today was.

We'll done Jack, you had very few real mates today, especially in the box.

As to most of the rest of you pathetic lot. Give the money back.

I literally drank half a bottle of Baron Samedi during the last 10 minutes of the game.

I think I'll join you.

1. We got the four points

2. We deserved the four points

3. That was an unspeakably horrible performance.

Watts. Stood up and busted his behind all day. Only one that really lead in terms of being a forward and a senior player.

The only 2 off the top of my head are Jack Watts & the 4 points.

Jeez, from what I'm reading not sure if I should watch the recording...

I reckon if the AFL puts on of those "watch the last 2 minutes" videos up, that should just about save you 2 hours... Everything you need will be there to sum it up!

Honestly don't bother. Life's too short to watch garbage like that. If you feel compelled to watch just watch the last 5 minutes.

That's the worst four points I've witnessed in 60+ years.  Following Melbourne is such a soul destroying pastime.  I almost wish I could give them up!

I wouldn't. Think Brisbane game 2015, on par with that.

I trust all those who grizzle about not knowing how to win close ones are happy. And those who grizzled about not winning when we should have are also saying winning is the only thing that matters.  Painful but better than losing.

Well here is my day, was taking my 3 year old son to his 1st game of footy and 1st train ride, we had to leave 5 minutes into 1st quarter as he felt sick, he then threw up on the train we then got off at southern cross and waited for the wife to pick us up, I got home to watch last 5 minutes.

I reakon I still had a better day than most of you.

Horrendous.

Couple of cameos from Stretch, Petracca, Frost and Hunt (in the last) was about all that preventing most of us from slitting our wrists.

Vandenberg strong up forward when we needed it.

Thank goodness my little terror decided he didn't want his afternoon nap, so I missed the last 7 mins. Please tell me they didn't celebrate like it was winning a flag?

We haven't improved? we're still in the hunt for the 8 at round 20. Even if the odds are 0.5%

We've got four weeks to make up 16 points and 12-15% on the Kangas and Dogs ;)

Agree with you Sue.

As frustrating as today was, i'd rather wins like today compared to honorable losses, every day of the week.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
