Forgive my paranoia, but that's exactly the attitude I worry about.

If the ball gets out our mids are too slow to get back and help defend and our backline is too short to out mark their three 197+cm tall forwards. 

In recent times our midfield pressure has been good.  It is our forwards that need to defend exceptionally well today - something they have been poor at all year.  The ball needs to stay in our forward half.  Not wanting to put pressure on but we really need a big game from Hogan today with goalkicking and doing his share of defending.

Suns much more organised and switched on than last time - not at all confident.

The frustrating thing is we been starting well early in most of the games we have lost recently.

I think this is different - they went with 3 talls to rough up Maxy not as genuine forwards so their talls were just goal posts up forward!

Also that was a wet track - terrible day for talls anywhere on the ground.  Today's track and weather are quite different.

We underestimate Lynch, Day and 2meter Pete, at our peril!  They are all in form genuine forwards - not faux ruckman.

Gold Coast had Wright, Lynch and Day in their side the last time we played them.

They will put Day forward this week but didn't he play on Hogan last time? Hogan finished that game with 1.3 from 9 touches, in a game where we kicked 24.16.

We had no problem with Lynch and Wright the last time, the reason being the same tactic as today: we restricted their inside 50s (75 to us, 35 to them). Keep their opportunities down and our midfield and forward line should be good enough to win the game.

Laziness through the middle and from our half-forwards though...

Their forward line is the big issue for us ( literally). The Macs will have to be on song and our midfield will need to starve them of opportunities

The mind boggles to what kind of excuses will be brought up by apologists if we lose. There is just no way I could accept a loss today.

Anyway adc maybe you should just try enjoying the game since we are competitive now at least.

I reckon our mids should get thr job done today. If not we might be in trouble.
