The one edge we have over the Crows is that a lot of their play relies on contested ball-winning and we seem to have been shading them in that area the last few times.  If Big Max and his helpers are having a good day we'll give them some trouble, although I suspect our inability to hit up forwards will mean less return on our effort than we need to win it.

Watching this [censored] makes me appreciate that we've been quite spoilt with quality football this year.

Shocking game all round...Collingwood poor, Freo nearly as good as us at our worst under Neeld.

The umpiring fit for the standard.

Pretty pathetic crowd for a "power club" with a winnable game on a Friday night time slot.

Yet we don't get any Friday night games because we don't draw crowds!!??

We would have done far better tonight IMO.

Just typical of the AFL's playing favorites - keep the rich rich and the poor dependent.

PS Fremantle are pathetic tankers.

PPS Who is that 38 Collingwood who can't tackle correctly?

Tonight shows how poorly Freo plays when in Melbourne in the cold of winter.

Which makes me feel great knowing we're playing them in Darwin in a home game in a few week's time.

Huh??? so is Darwin going to be cold for Freo to play poorly again so we win or,

your thinking its warm and they might put on a better show?

Gee whiz. I've been sucked in to Freo's run of wins compared to the Pies losses. There's still time for Freo but heck they're ordinary.

Not as ordinary as the crowd though. I reckon MFC vs GWS has drawn more..

At what time? None of us had actually seen him play. The times i have seen him play for Freo he is just nothing but a dinosaur.

another afl scheduling masterpiece.......................what a yawn

But another marketing opportunity for a big club in a prime time slot.

Land I bet they won't get many fewer next year.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
