Tell me you aren't serious.

I am more or less serious as I live in East Melbourne. I will be in the queue when the Member's Reserve opens at 11.30am.

If it rains, Essendon will be a chance. They want to make this game a boring slog, I can feel it. But we are the fitter team and I don't think they'll last 4 quarters, so we should win. No excuses.

I don't want to put the mozza on us but IMO this is one of the most important games I think our club has played in for a long time.

It is this game where we will see if our side has become a real AFL side or not, whether we are willing to kick our excuses in the crutch or kneel down and accept mediocrity. This is the kind of game we have historically lost (think Carlton last year). Our side needs to finally stand up and live up to their standards because, on paper, we all know our team is better.

I moved to East Melbourne just to be closer to the 'G.

Not even kidding.

Well, you know they're going to try the same thing with Hogan. But probably not "legally".

And Watts. And Brayshaw, Oliver, Harmes.

The leopard doesn't change its spots. Worsfold was a thug of old and it's their only chance of getting over us.

Give 'em a taste of their own medicine. (And then bury them.)

All  the more reason for us to play unsocial, bruising football early.  As I said show them who is boss and who is boss of the MCG.

Time to let Sheedy and all his cohorts know that the 2000 GF 'shoe is on the other foot' so to speak.

MFCSS....pffffft

It's in the bag ;)

And off to the G we go. ( train...no boat service )

I hate seeing the G in their colours. I hate the thought that we might not respond if they try thuggery.  My memories of 2000 are too clear. I am old enough to have been there is 64, and we were feared. That's what I want... the MFC to be feared.

And a win.

Quite a different feeling travelling to the game this week. Know we are a reasonable team now, nervous that we may not play to the level we can. Hoping to see a consistent full on effort.

I think the rain would play into our hands. We are bigger and stronger, and definitely not short of an inside mid.

Now I hear they are going to be doing that stupid jacket/scarf waving thing enmasse before the game. Is that correct?

Would have thought the ex West Coast Coach will be wondering what he has got himself in for, and does open for a fitting jacket wave at the end of the game to our song.

Sailing in on the train.

Anyone hear the Coodabeens this morning?  A few funny ditties, with a repeat of a phrase overhead in the members last week:. "Get involved number 1" . The main tunes were Puppy Love, and Fortunate Son.

Hoping our numbers are all jumping today from the bounce.

Hogan has a really dodgy balldrop..

He's out here very early taking shots.

If he kicks 5, then I couldn't give a fat rat's about his ball drop!
