LETTER FROM BRAD GREEN TO MEMBERS 24 OCT

Recommended Posts

Sounds like Our President is pretty upbeat in his memo to All Melbourne supporters provides an overview of what is occurring in both reviews. Mentioned that an external consultant is Benchmarking all activities undertaken by the board, whilst the FD review is expected to be completed by early November. He congratulated our AFLW team and asks everyone to get around them, also very bullish on our Recruiting team. Advised that there are two Directors re- nominating and two vacancies coming up, thanked David Robb for his excellent contributions to our club since 2015 and thanked all the supporters who had contacted him and offered their good wishes and support.

I see the vacating Director was involved in the Audit, Risk and Integrity Committee. I recently finished up at one of the big four where I was in a similar role. I now work for a large mining company within Ethics and Compliance. A vote for Ethan is a vote for you! #Vote1EthanTremblay.

But you're from WA.

We have a big go home risk with recruits from WA.

What makes us think you won't do an LJ and take all the valuable IP of a top notch Board such as MFC back to Freo or even worse... The Eagles !

I was belatedly listening to the DeeBrief's trade wrap, and in that episode Adrian said he had emailed Brad Green about the review time frames. Brad responded and said the reports were due to be considered by the board on 28 October

Integrity at a Big 4, and then Ethics and Compliance at a big miner?

So the update reveals Megan Dwyer as the independent expert involved in the Board review (not disclosed previously) and that we will get the key findings by early November (a little later than promised).

I read the email as we still want to run a closed shop, but here's an email if you want to give it a go.

It speaks volumes that despite the club saying that the members don't like them installing new candidates in casual vacancy positions prior to elections, they continue to do it anyway.

Let's see what comes of the review.

No mention of Pert, so hopefully he's on the way out.

it's not as hard to get on a football club board as peter lawrence's experience would make it seem

there's been several 'grass roots' supporters who have sucessfully lobbied and worked with the fanbase of clubs to gain seats on various boards

if someone from here was to nominate and rally the support, they could well get the votes to be elected

ballot returns are notoriously low for this sort of thing

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die!
