Good luck Vanders, I didn't like the sound of it at the start of the year and his return date just kept getting pushed further and further back. 

Do it right and set him up for a good 2018.

Best of luck to him as he hasn't had a good run at it for the last couple of years.  

You wonder about the surgery and it's success, as how he pulls up from it could decide if he gets another contract or not.  Hopefully all goes well as he is a very good player to have across half forward.

We have missed him. I look forward to seeing him 100% fit and firing. He has been under an injury cloud for most of his career thus far.

His best is yet to come.

Any detail as to what is the diagnosis and what surgery he is having?  Plantar fasciitis?

I don't think we've seen anything near AVB's best football.  Hopefully he can be ready for day one of preseason because he could be a serious player with a bit more luck on his side.

Can't help but think this is a continuation of last year's injury and he hasn't been right since pre-season 2016. Sad for the lad, especially after the journey he took to get listed. And best of luck in the recovery - I too think that his best may provide a bit of a surprise.

Hope to see him back to his best next year....he's a beast of a man, would be important in the forward line mix with his tackling and goal kicking if he can get fit

Doctors missed a bone growing out of the crack in is heel...

    UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

    Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft.     Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock for the final week of training for the 1st to 4th Years until they are joined by the rest of the senior squad for Preseason Training Camp in Mansfield next week.
