Kurt Tippett is a ruck- forward which is what we need.

Charlie Dixon showed last night what a weapon a huge unit can do in the fwd line.

We all probably agree that gawn-pedo is our best ruck combination with either one able to rest forward but for some reason pedo only gets a go when we are desparate. Taking this into account plus Pedo's age, if Sydney footed part of the wage bill why wouldn't we look at tippet as an upsize for next season?

i wouldn't bother with him based on the cost and his output.

Forget Tippett. Get Dixon.

I'd be interested in looking at him if they traded him to us for "free" because we picked up his final year contract salary ~$800k

Might see a much bigger, not being pushed off the ball, O'mac down forward next year, "laterally thinking"

Yes Reid has more ability. The pace of the game seems to have passed Tippett by. He wouldn't be worth a lot of the open market and I think is too slow defensively when he goes forward.

If we snagged Lever and Weids doesn't develop you would have to give it a crack you'd think.

I believe he had a trigger clause in his contract which enabled him to extend this year on ridiculous money. I don't think he is contracted next year. His salary will halve wherever he is.

Firstly, NO, because he's the wrong demographic for our list. Too old now and doesn't bring enough.

At his best he's a great player. He hasn't played at his best in his nearly 4 years at the Swans. Had one great game in his career. That prelim with the Crows.

yep. he is the classic example of a player grossly overpaid who has little incentive to perform at his best. he had it made before he made it.

Would think Goodwin would know a bit about Tippet from his Adelaide days, may be a relationship between the two.

Wouldnt rule him out, better than Reid IMO...

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
