Posting unsubstantiated rumours on this website is strictly forbidden.

Demonland has made the difficult decision to not permit this platform to be used to discuss & debate the off-field issues relating to the Melbourne Football Club including matters currently being litigated between the Club & former Board members, board elections, the issue of illicit drugs in footy, the culture at the club & the personal issues & allegations against some of our players & officials ...

We do not take these issues & this decision lightly & of course we believe that these serious matters affecting the club we love & are so passionate about are worthy of discussion & debate & I wish we could provide a place where these matters can be discussed in a civil & respectful manner.

However these discussions unfortunately invariably devolve into areas that may be defamatory, libelous, spread unsubstantiated rumours & can effect the mental health of those involved. Even discussion & debate of known facts or media reports can lead to finger pointing, blame & personal attacks.

The repercussion is that these discussions can open this website, it’s owners & it’s users to legal action & may result in this website being forced to shutdown.

Our moderating team are all volunteers & cannot moderate the forum 24/7 & as a consequence problematic content that contravenes our rules & standards may go unnoticed for some time before it can be removed.

We reserve the right to delete posts that offend against our above policy & indeed, to ban posters who are repeat offenders or who breach our code of conduct.

WE HAVE BUILT A FANTASTIC ONLINE COMMUNITY AT DEMONLAND OVER THE PAST 23 YEARS & WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO DISCUSS THE CLUB WE LOVE & ARE SO PASSIONATE ABOUT.

Lumumba no obvious in. Salem needs Casey more than MFC needs Salem ATM. A lot of talent and not a lot of results.

We are still struggling around half back. We need Salem back asap. The cracks get painted over while we're smashing teams in the middle but we need as much quality decision making  and disposal as we can get back there. Salem has these attributes in spades.

I don't think we make any changes this week unless injuries occur. Apart from Hogan, McDonald and Watts (who are certain starters next week), our three worst were probably Kent, Garland and Michie who were still serviceable and contributed. I rated the contributions of Stretch and Hunt.

I don't think you can drop Garland or Michie after one game and Kent has performed over the last few weeks.

Potential outs: Garland, Kennedy, Kent, Michie, Stretch

Potential ins: Frost (only as a defender), Salem, ANB, Trengove

Kennedy had 16 disposals, 9 tackles and kicked 2 goals. Not sure he's really in contention to be dropped.

If fit, Lumumba and Salem are walk up starts. Prior to last week when both got concussed, they were important from rounds 3 - 5. I'd like to see Dunn back in the side at the G. He's a good match up for Redpath. But for some reason, he's out of favour.

Ins: Lumumba and Salem

Out: Garland and Michie

I hope that they don't drop Stretch after 1 game for a 3rd time this year. And I pray that the Frost as a forward experiment is done and dusted.

I think we're a better functioning team WITHOUT Lumumba.

He's not a walk-up start.

No chance 3 changes after a big win.

Salem is the only players who is arguably best 22 and didn't play. If he's fit I would say he might come in, but he isn't in hot form so no change would also make sense.

We need speed in, the Dogs are very quick attacker so "H" would be a good in for defence.

They are the best throwing and open hand palming team in the AFL. Took over from Bummers three years ago

Can I suggest this thread is a bit early. Let's see who plays well at Casey before we make these judgements. I think we should also consider who we are playing. As has been said, the Dogs have a very tall attack - without Dunn and Lumumba ( Orr even Omac) we look a bit short.

We have lost two games this year through poor selection choices (North and Essendon) and we shouldn't do it here. I am as delighted as anyone about the way we played, but we have to remember the Suns had 8 first choice players out (including the two who were injured). This week we are playing a team on fire. We struggled last week because much of our young brigade were down, and we particularly missed Oliver for his clearances. I think there may be up to three changes this week, simply because of who we are playing, and that is as it should be.

Clearly Michie is the first in line to be dropped.  It's not like he's a debutante where they're often given a second game.

In: Salem

Out: Michie

I'd love Trengove in, but I doubt they'll bring him back next week.

Changes?

I think that if there's one thing this season has taught us, it's that whilst every opposition is different and you might need to make changes to deal with different match ups, players out of form and others screaming out for selection, it's often the subtle changes requiring the coaches to change the focus of the team and its mindset to win on the day that is just as important.

I think the attacking game plan means we are bullies when we get a break but struggle in defence when we get ahead of the ball and then other sides do the same to us.  Last night's 2 halves show that.  Guys like kent and kennedy struggled for possessions in the first half but finished up ok.  Is that their fault or the game plan fault.  So instead of dropping them for someone more defensive do you keep them while the plan develops and they learn to get more of the ball when other sides come at us.  After a big win like that, I think more than anything else you keep the side in tact for confidence sake and accept there will be times when things go wrong.  I rather like the fact we seem to kick 100 points or more each game.

Roos erred when choosing the team v saints. Shouldn't make the same mistake.

Oliver got rested so wouldn't be surprised if hunt and Wagner got theirs.

In. Salem. Prince

Out. Wagner. Hunt

No changes for mine. We'll beat them next week. Little bit of rain and we'll beat them well. Not convinced that Doggies style can be sustained at the G for four quarters.

    DISCO INFERNO by Whispering Jack

Two weeks ago, when the curtain came down on Melbourne’s game against the Brisbane Lions, the team trudged off the MCG looking tired and despondent at the end of a tough run of games played in quick succession. In the days that followed, the fans wanted answers about their team’s lamentable performance that night and foremost among their concerns was whether the loss was a one off result of fatigue or was it due to other factor(s) of far greater consequence.  As it turns out, the answer to

TIGERS PUNT CASEY by KC from Casey

The afternoon atmosphere at the Swinburne Centre was somewhat surreal as the game between Richmond VFL and the Casey Demons unfolded on what was really a normal work day for most Melburnians. The Yarra Park precinct marched to the rhythm of city life, the trains rolled by, pedestrians walked by with their dogs and the traffic on Punt Road and Brunton Avenue swirled past while inside the arena, a football battle ensued. And what a battle it was? The Tigers came in with a record of two wins f

It's Game Day and the Demons once again open the round of football with their annual clash against Richmond on ANZAC Eve. The Tigers, coached by former Dees champion and Premiership assistant coach Adem Yze have a plethora of stars missing due to injury but beware the wounded Tiger. The Dees will have to be switched on tonight. A win will keep them in the hunt for the Top 4 whilst a loss could see them fall out of the 8 for the first time since 2020.

    OOZEE by The Oracle

There’s a touch of irony in the fact that Adem Yze played his first game for Melbourne in Round 13, 1995 against the club he now coaches. For that game, he wore the number 44 guernsey and got six touches in a game the team won by 11 points.  The man whose first name was often misspelled, soon changed to the number 13 and it turned out lucky for him. He became a highly revered Demon with a record of 271 games during which his presence was acknowledged by the fans with the chant of “Oozee” wh
