Don't think we have a chance with Aish. Talk on Twitter is the Pies will use the second round pick they get from St Kilda to send 2 second round picks to the Lions

Posted

Further to this, his manager, Liam Pickering stated a few days ago Aish only wants to go to Collingwood or he'll stay at Brisbane. This was after he rejected a big offer from North. I'm sure us North Melbourne have been confused.

Not interested in an entitled little twit.

If Prickering says that, it means he'll end up at West Coast or Hawthorn!

For me it depends who's asking and whose entitled little twit they'd be. If Treloar was being an entitled little twit (check) and nominated us instead of Collingwood, I would be quite happy to take an entitled little twit. ;)

In basic terms Melbourne began the exchange period with:

- Picks 6, 24, 42 and 60, Jeremy Howe and Jimmy Toumpas

It now sits with:

- Picks 6, 29, 46 and 50, Jake Melksham and Ben Kennedy

We began with 25 not 24.

Good summary anyway.

Fingers crossed we pull off a miracle with Aish.. All depends on the pitching skills from here!

I sincerely hope not! Not that it will help, but my fingers will be firmly crossed that we wouldn't be so stupid.

I don't like this personally but will wait til trading is over. Just shows how difficult it is: we can't land a big fish and players nominate their own terms, even when under contract. The system has to change.

Those that don't rate Howe or Toumpas will be happy but for mine Howe had much more currency that what we ended up with. Toump for Kennedy seems like a small win because BK is more a contested type, faster and is not a deer in the headlights.

Actually, all my Collingwood supporting mates say that is exactly what he is... I have only seen him play once (QB) myself and he looked ok.

Yeah as HT says we started with 25, and when did 43 become 46 - I must've missed that (not that it really matters - probably get the same player at either)

With Mahoney in charge there is not chance.

Grow up. You sound like a little kid.

you need to get that sarcasm meter of yours serviced, djr

Then I apologise. When it is said in isolation it doesn't sound good. There are so many negative posters out there that comments like these are common and you lose insight into what is sarcasm. I should concentrate more at the waffle I read.

I wonder, because Tigers are getting hammered by their fans for no activity, if they would go for Dylan Grimes brother with 29 for their 12. Then they do deal for Yarran with 29 and another pick this year or next.

DJ as I said earlier, check the posts I've made on the whole Mahoney is rubbish lean that has occurred here... I don't subscribe to it and was taking the fizz. Will chuck in a snazzy emoticon next time.

I think we are kicking every tire and looking under every rock for the type of players we want. Whether these players want to come over to us, and whether other clubs think we have assets to trade for the players they have that we rate is a different story. Our improvement will be another step up but will mostly have to come from within unless something else comes up to finish this trade period. (but again none of us have an ear to what the team is doing behind closed doors).

Richmond fans would be microwaving their memberships in droves if the Tigers did that deal Redleg

Surely Aish has to be worth pick 6 he's had 2 years in the system and played some good games but we will go the long path

As of this year the Richmond Footy Club created microwave-proof membership cards.

Although initially more expensive to produce, it is thought that it will save the RFC several millions of dollars in the constant production and issue of replacements.

Comments being made that the Dees expected to land Bugg soon, and that will be it for the Demons for the 2015 Trade Period. Expected to keep first two picks (6,29) for the Draft Period.

If that's true then that's very dissapointing.

So much for improving our draft position.

Thank that high flying fl0g that plays for the filth now for that.

Well geez, if we were going to take our second rounder to the draft we probably shouldn't have given up 25 so hastily. What harm was there in waiting to see if we got Port's for Toump?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
