He's owned up to it, nothing will happen apart from a fine

He has made the worst possible first impression on is new club. I would be absolutely filthy if I were in any way associated with St. Kilda, especially considering that his manager reportedly knew the video was set to be released prior to the trade going through.

And nor should it. Said it before and say it again the players were insane to agree to including use of illicit drugs outside of match day testing. In any case he hasn't tested positive and for all Jake and anyone else knows what he thought was coke might have been talc

A seperate issue 'binman' but I agree.

The AFL are more interested in protecting their brand, this sort of thing does it no good but also proves with all their powers they can't control everything.

I know it would never happen but if the clubs were punished for player outrages as well as the players I reckon these kind of problems will reduce dramatically. Loss of one premiership point for a first offence for example. The resulting club and peer group pressure would be harder for players to thumb their nose at.

Is Jake only sorry because the footage got out? If it didn't he'd just carry on with life and who knows decide to do it again. As KB said its his 5th year. He would have sat through so many drug talks, why would he need to sit through another one. Surely he should have got the message by now. Just imagine the other players out there doing the same stuff that don't get caught.

Id imagine the 1st day pf pre season, awkward day for him fronting up to his new teammates. He'd want to put in a good pre season.

Just imagine the other players with the 2 Collingwood players who didn't get tested...maybe it was a wake up call for them.

Talc being " possibly carcinogenic" , this story shows what a brave lad Jake is

it's a bit irrelevant about the out of season testing in this case

whether there was or wasn't this case would still have caused the same negative outcomes, simply because it got into the news

what remains to be seen is what his new club and the afl do about it

hard to imagine with all that has gone on at messydrugs that he could do this and post a video of it to a "mate"

seems some people were just short changed when brains were handed out

probably the last time the aints will trade with essendon for a long time after lovett and now carlisle

What a fwit.

Do not photograph or write anything you don't want the world to see. This must be taught to the players, how could you be so stupid as to do this? Particularly an EFC player who must have had extra education on drug related issues over the last few years.

Unbelievable.

Its surprising he didn't wait till back on Australian soil to make his 'confession'.

Confessing to illicit drug possession and use in the USA runs the risk of the long arm of the law knocking on his door!

What a dope he is!

True indeed, however, you can be a dummy and still have common sense as well as proper standards of personal behaviour, You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know right from wrong.

Memo to StKilda FC

3 Points to consider.

1 If it looks too good to be true..... it is.

2 Do not deal with the EFC.

3 Understand due diligence:- An investigation or audit of a potential investment. Due diligence serves to confirm all material facts in regards to a sale. 2. Generally, due diligence refers to the care a reasonable person should take before entering into an agreement or a transaction with another party.- Particularly the EFC

So ... what's coming our way from EFC to burn us?

I'm anticipating some instant karma re Milkshake and Goodstuff to land on us instead of EFC.

In 2009 Essendon traded Andrew Lovett to St Kilda for pick 16. They then on-traded that pick and ended up with pick 24.

In 2009, with pick 24, Essendon selected...Jake Carlisle.

One positive to come from this is that Carlisle should at least be a little more cautious of the people he surrounds himself with, and calls 'friends'. If this didn't come to light now, there is no telling how long Carlise would've continued along this path. At least St Kilda now know that there might be an issue, its obviously not ideal for them, but its better they know what they are dealing with. IMO this whole debacle raises further question marks around the culture at Windy Hill.

Fair point.

I agree with you on the point about how he could have arrived at the brilliant idea of sending a video of himself to anyone doing a line. What a fuckknuckle. Also did i hear right that he did the line in the US? If so he's taking a pretty big risk career and life wise. A drug charge in the states would mean he might end up in jail and most certainly would never be able to travel there again.

It would be mighty funny if The US Feds handcuffed him at the airport before leaving

Why would you even consider filming yourself snorting a line of Blow when there is a WADA hearing within days??

And then you upload it onto the web!!!

Only the Aints would spend all of trade week fighting for this liability.

Wow.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
