Nervous about this.

That said, in Roos I trust.

I'm over being nervous about our players doing well at other clubs.

It didn't work for Sam at the Dees - but if Geelong can somehow unlock any potential he has, then good luck to them.

Delisted players from this club seem to find new homes more than rejects from any other club. I put it down to other club arrogance, "we can un-Melbourne him" type attitude.

Almost without fail, these players don't get "un-Melbourned". They stay the same. I doubt Blease will be any different. Paul Roos is only human like the rest of us, and thus can make mistakes, but he is one of the best judges of AFL talent that there has ever been. If he doesn't rate Blease, then that's good enough for me.

That being said, I wish Sam all the best. I really thought he had something back in 2011/12.

I wonder how he will go having Chris Scott coaching him. The Scott brothers seem like quite intense coaches even more so when players are not performing to the required level. Good Luck Bleasey ?

Good luck to him.

Watch him thrive. Good players around him, in a good environment, I expect him to shine.

Again shows how far off the mark we have been for 5-6 years.

Rivers Clark Blease...

It just don't add up....!

Are they perhaps trying to take us over by Stealth?

Geelong is a very disciplined side, everyone must do their job and do it well, they have a lot of depth so if you dont follow the game plan and put in then you dont play simple as that, I think Sam will struggle to get a game.

Blah blah blah..

Give it up.

Blease simply wouldn't do what he was told,. Read the Casey reports each week. Anyone that does that is a dead man walking.

Er, he hasn't done anything yet.

At all.

If he is to back up whatever point you are making - he hasn't done it yet...

Haha the old 'new environment [censored]'

Bit like how Sylvia was going to absolutely thrive under Ross Lyon, or Brock Mclean at Carlton?

Still waiting for Jordan Gysbert to do a Scott Thompson on us because of his 'new environment'

Blease isn't a hardworkers arshole.

Good luck Sam but your in for a rude shock.

I generally feel a bit sad when our 2nd tier players leave (by whatever means) and play for other clubs. Stef Martin, Jamie Bennell, Ricky Petterd, Kyle Cheney, Matthew Warnock etc were all players I liked at one time and still follow when I watch those clubs play.

For some reason, even though he was on the list for six years, I'm not really fussed about Blease and regard him as just another Geelong player already

In a way youre right but possibly not how you intended it....and probably for 5+6 years !!

he may thrive down there. Good luck to him. he will be training among superstar players to learn from such as selwood, bartel, johnson , kelly and others. Something he never had at melbourne. Plus he is going into a club that has a winning culture and plays finals.

A different environment although a good tweet from jon ralph. Sam Blease a Cat. I hope he realises what a second chance this is & works his arse off. Wasted talent so far. Nowhere near fit enough

We lost Bleese and gained Garlett. Whether a win or a loss is yet to be determined. Garlett can play if his head is right and Bleese can play close to contract renewal time but couldn't pull the con job on Roos this time around. Proven facts.

Geelong used to have good depth, don't think they do anymore, particularly as there are quite a few premiership heroes whose best footy is behind them and are coming to the end of their career.

If the majority are correct including Roos and co blease wont make it . Could it be the cats have a gameplan change this Summer with Sammy in mind or are arrogant enough to back in the culture . The geelong way .

And your years of AFL experience tell you that. We haven't developed anyone and until the club, the supporters and the mindless here realise this we have got years of pain ahead.

I wish him good luck,

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
