Il give Gill some points here.

Full review of all player movement from top to bottom required incorporating all matters likely to impact it from mature aged rookies to COLA . I feel if the AFL don't address the anomalies, secrecy and transparency the clocks ticking, if it isn't already.

Total farce

Middle of trade week

Told they can't trade.

Talk about making it up on the run

Sydney apparently knew about it a couple of weeks back, It's only that the media have gotten wind of it in now

DC, doesn't make sense to me either... assume it has something to do with phasing it out, and they don't want any players coming in and making use of it, and wanting them to be put onto the rent allowance scheme that is replacing it. As the existing players and their contracts expire or are renewed they are transitioned across as well.

Sydney were/are just playing by the rules the AFL created, now they are being punished for playing the game too well??? Just doesn't make sense. Sure it might even up the competition a little more, but it's a sheet message the AFL is sending the competition.

Farcical decision IMO, may benefit the rest of the league, but it still makes it no less farcical.

The Hawks have brought in just as many trades and FA recently (with less TPP's too), why aren't they being told the same thing?

No, Gerard Healy reported it "On the Couch" a few weeks back. He, Dunstall and Sheahan were in disbelief.

If the AFL have a problem this is not the way to handle it, I think they were really p...off about Buddy going to the Swans and not the Giants. Conflict of Interest/Lack of Integrity/ No balls to do the job/No transparency raises it's head again at the AFL

I hope the Dees go hard for Mitchell.

Offer pick 3 for Mitchell and pick 18.

They will reduce their salary cap by ~300 - 400K a year as he is replaced with a gun draftee to be put on minimum [AFL] wage.

They'll be licking their lips having Heeney and a Petracca/ Brayshaw/ McCartin (10 year prospects).

We'll have Mitchell and could pick up the likes of Cockatoo (if North don't grab him first).

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
