Could we lock this thread just for today in honour of Robbie Flower. This guy doesn't deserve to be acknowledged or mentioned today.

Look, he's just one of those guys that tell you what you want to hear. They are quite charismatic but have not one once of substance and you can't trust a word they say. His actions show that...we have a word for this, rhymes with anchor.

Nope. The title alone makes me feel like vomiting.

He's in for a shock when he plays us and faces the most ferocious display of supporter backlash he's ever encountered

This guy is seriously delusional.....seems mentally unstable.

I'd be surprised if he lasted the year out playing footy.

I'm depressed because i am seeing all my teams losing, do you think the doctor will advise me to stop supporting Melbourne?

Maybe it's the fact Red Bull isn't doing so well in the F1's, maybe the doc will suggest i go for Mercedes?

Lucky the Australian Test Team have gained the #1 ranking back or i'd have to barrack for South Africa.

Pick 33 & a player from Cats would be more appealing. Another 2 for 1 deal. We don't have idiots in charge anymore, Roos will steer the ship if it gets tough and he isn't stupid. I honestly think it'll be:

Pick 33 - Lumumba

Player from Geelong (Young mid)

You aren't talking about the Tyson / Salem deal are you?

Why do people keep thinking that this was a 2 for 1 deal? We gave up pick 20 as well which would have netted us a very good player like Lewis Taylor.

Toughen up Kika, a real man could handle all this and more and still be a loud and proud Melbourne supporter, Oh that's right you are and this is a Princess Mitch thread.

OMG - so much so that he has basically told us "get stuffed, I'm out of here, and don't give a toss for all you have put up with and done for me"!!!

He will certainly be remembered....as a Disloyal Egotistical Moneygrabbing Ostracised Narcissist !!

The supporters of this club are experts at it.

So you agree that Roos would have put a high priority on keeping a bloke who had played 15 of a possible 66 games?

IF that particular bloke

(i) had fully recovered physically from his injury

(ii) had passed an appropriate mental assessment and had an appropriate attitude

(iii) actually wanted to play for us, not just (sometimes when it suited him) said he did

then I am sure he would pull out all stops.

I think we all know that Roos was pumping Clarks tyres up as the "clubs best player" with an eye to receiving better than just 33 for him. So if this is in fact correct as reported by Jon Ralph, I will be very disappointed if the club accepted 33 alone for Clark and has done so with the knowledge that Band 1 compo for Frawley is confirmed.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
