Neeld weighing up footy comeback

Isn't David King coach of Carey? How will that work. Also APS schools paying former AFL players/coaches to coach the team is a bit of a [censored]. Just get one of the PE teachers who was a decent local footy and involved in local footy to do it. These AFL guys bring in all their terminology and training methods that should be kept away from kids who should focus on schooling. The elite ones can get footy knowledge from their TAC teams.

David King was one of the few commentators to put his balls on the line early and call for his sacking in 2012…for memory.

School kids better come with the right coloured laces to training from now on; is my tip. Also, the canteen better have David King bring Neeldy the mandatory 10 lollies in the coaches tent.

Carey are the [censored] of the APS.

They will now remain so.

He should be back in the AFL system as an assistant, this is what he does well.

He wasn't a senior coach at this level, many aren't. He was part of a disastrous period in this clubs history, he wasn't the only problem and not even the major problem but a problem non the less.

Quite so, if we'd had some mediocre success under Neeld instead of abject failure the Club might have now been heading towards an inevitable doom.

They were the two years of horror we had to have. I can see the blue skies that Bailey was glimpsing.

The man tried his best. Didn't work out. His disastrous reign led to one of the best things to happen to our club in years: Paul Roos. Can't complain about that.

Without Mark Neeld that would never have happened.

And without Mark Neeld.....a successful team.....more members....more wins.....better development.....better game plan.....

The question I have is what the hell happened over the 2012/2013 off season??? To loose the first two games of the season by 79 and 148 points respectively.....and to win two games for the year....

complete failure who we all supported and gave time to and believed in. He let us down....let's hope we stick it up him by having a good season. Fk u Neeld.

Tomic has just pulled the pin against Nadal !! Groin issue apparently. He did something in the first game but this is not going to help his image. I have a feeling Hewitt with the same injury would have gone down like the black knight in Monty Python. They would carried him out horizontal. But that is not our Bernard. He was playing quite well I thought, maybe it was just bad luck but then Bernie needs to look at all these early retirements and losses due to injury.

Rumour going around that he's about to be appointed Bernard Tomic's tennis coach.

Viney worked with the Scud from memory-along with some other not so good coaches.

I understand that if you frequent night clubs often enough, it's possible that you develop groin issues.

I feel sorry for him.

Another Mark Neeld thread!

Can we not move on and forget the worst ever MFC coach.

IMO 2014 should be about positive thinking,

Well at least until the season starts and then we can all get depressed again.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
