Well at the end of the day and in the light of that same day I think all things are revealed in the fulness of time. We ought to realise things are always darkest before the dawn but thankfully that light at the end of the tunnel will illuminate all.Well every dog has its day and I feel every Demonlander entitled to a say even if that say is to say a tad too cliche !!

Ban cliches....Just off the top of my head, I think it's over your head. I mean you'd loose your head if it wasn't attached. Go runnin' 'round like a chicken with its head cut off. I need your opinon like I need a hole in the head and if I had eyes in the back of my head I'd say two heads are better than one, but in your case I think you're in over your head. It's all in your head. You got your head in the clouds. Regardless, don't bury your head in the sand.

Anyhow my head id swimming.

It's not a cliche, but it really irritates me when certain posters play the person who voices an opinion in good faith that may be at odds with their own opinion.

Wreaks of little computer nerds playing the tough guy on the keyboard. I wish they would either ignore the opinion or counter it with logical, well reasoned responses - surely this should be simple if the contrary view being expressed is so plainly stupid in the first place.

Graham Chapman: I think all right-thinking people in this country are sick and tired of being told that ordinary, decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired.

All: Yes, yes...

Graham Chapman: I'm certainly not! And I'm sick and tired of being told that I am.

Not Sure?: Mrs. Havoc-Jones.

Mrs. Havoc-Jones: Well, I meet a lot of people and I'm convinced that the vast majority of wrongthinking people are right.

Not Sure?: There seems like a consensus there. Could we have the next question, please?

Woman: I would like to ask the team what changes they would make if they were Hitler?

Graham Chapman: Well, speaking personally, I would annex the Sudetenland.

Not Sure?: Norman?

Norman: I think I'd pay some Dutchmen to set fire to Lord Snowdon.

By the way, there is a 'game' (more of a nonsense way to pass time on trains) based on cliches. Pretty simple.

Their cliches have come home to roost.

A cliche in the hand is worth two in the bush.

We're just taking it one cliche at a time.

Well, it is better than the number plate alphabet game.

Which repeated, mindless cliches do you hate?

1. " Collingwood"

2. "Tom Scully decision" (should be annotated TSD for Forum purposes to save Greenhouse Gas Emissions ( GGE))

3. +1 ( don't really mind it but surely it deserves an honorable mention.

4. my favorite is : " all thinking people agree/know that .........."

It's not really a cliche but " Have a bex and a lie down " really shits me. Anyone under the age 40 has no idea what a bex is let alone taken one.

but its not a laxative SD, its just a headache table :)

i thought you under 40's knew all about the internet and google

p.s. what do you do when you have a real problem

FFS: FFS this abbreviation annoys me  Any other alternatives much appreciated.

FWIW: Is there a live market out there that puts a value on our comments/views?

Go get yourself a tea/Go lie down/Take a breather: Hang on, doesn't tea have caffeine in it which will keep me awake wanting to write more drivel which will annoy you even more? Lying down will probably ensure a nice rest, enabling me to think up more drivel and then i'll have more energy to write more stuff that you can't stand! Taking a breather should help to re-energise me and re charge my batteries .... allowing me to do same as previous Go Lie Down comment.

Cuts me to the 'flag' core: Haven't seen it used yet but i'm probably going to!

We should have seen this coming: Now that we can read the tea leaves....can someone with this amazing gift pleeeease use it to select our next premiership coach! Seriously, we need your help....things are pretty grim atm!

We butcher the ball: Probably damning and somewhat true of our team this year but i'm just sick of hearing it lol.

Get John Butcher: Ummm....yeh....well i'm pretty sure it ain't happening.

Get Fev: That ain't happening either.

Ain't: I use this way too often and the grammar police on here probably hate me for it. Actually they probably hate most of what i'm writing haha.

+1: Something i'm guilty of using a little too often...:)

This ^^ : Something Belze uses a little too often! Sorry Belze lol. And now i'm starting to as well. Thanks alot Belze!

    BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury. LIVE AND LET DIE by Meggs

The Demons’ impressive late season charge to finals will most likely come unstuck this Saturday evening when the Bombers blow up the also-ran Blues in the Ikon Park double-header.   To mangle McCartney, what does it matter to ya? To have any chance to play next week Narrm has got a job to do and needs to do it well.  We’ve got to give the Pie sheilas hell, say live and let die! It’s Indigenous Round for this game and the chance to celebrate and engage with Aboriginal and Torres

Unfortunately, didn’t quite get there although he did finish equal sixth in Casey’s best and fairest award. Date of Birth: 23 February 1999 Height: 198cm Games CDFC: 14 Goals CDFL: 13

Sadly, had to wrap up a great career in midstream on the back of multiple concussions which culminated in the Maynard hit in the 2023 Qualifying Final. His loss to the club was inestimable over and above his on field talent given his character and leadership qualities, all of which have been sorely missed.
