Blease should be in this side. The coach/es have stated in every weekly write up that 'he needs to work on his defensive game'. This would be why is being left out. Not the goal. Happy for him to snag a sausage now and then. Live a little people!! He is the future and we need his speed. Hopefully he will do what is required to work on this. Can't wait to see Gysberts and Blease consistently in this side. When deserved. As for others protesting where players have been put in position (Sellar for example above), it's 2012. You all must listen to Finey go through the team talk like it actually has any relevance.

I remember when Brett Ratten spent a year with us. The feedback that came from the players and club was constant and positive. I'm yet to hear any such positivity about Brian Royal. This includes the years at MFC, the final two under Wallace at Richmond (disaster) and one year as a development coach at the Saints in '09. Obviously not much was developed in that time or MFC see much more in him than any other club. (I can't quite remember if we approached him again or the Saints knew one year of him was enough). A glowing playing record, his coaching record doesn't reflect the same. Perhaps not enough substance here for rpfc but good enough for me. I continue to be disappointed that he is our mids coach. Ling would be a fantastic get. Perhaps his plate is well and truly full with TV and business commitments.

Surprised at the Mooney love but it only takes a new voice and people are smitten. But he is only up against back slappers and mates of the media. Terribly covered our game is by the majority of media. Cam Mooney wouldn't have given the time of day to any commentator giving opinion outside of the club while he was playing. Pretty sure his opinion was that they are mostly a waste of time. Now he is one as the bills have to be paid. I don't need his reinforcement to see what is going on at MFC. He is just offering an opinion like the rest if us. What he has said here Mark Neeld and others have already said, where is the difference? Just a new voice making it seem clearer?

Inate talent? Then the recruiting should be held accountable, not Travis? Gee, he's playing a game at Chelsea and the same olds still can't let go. He's at least a # 1 capable ticket holder in 2010's! Many more at Melbourne have disappointed more than Travis, some still to today and both on and off the field. Jim, as you did with many, you had a profound effect on my childhood. Following and growing up with the Dees from 85 and enjoying so many great years watching you, in a period I now value so highly as a Demon, 87-91. As sad as today has been, those years came flooding back seeing all the names from that era, Northey, Slug, Greg and Gerard Healy, Barry Richardson, come out to remember you so fondly. I lost my dear mum to this same battle only a year ago and I'm so very lucky to have been influenced by two great people. My thoughts are with Sam and all your family. You're truly a legend. RIP Jim.

Dropped in. Sylvia was there briefly but did no work I saw. Many running laps, Grimes, Tapscott, Jetta, Clark after the behind the goals drill. Neil Craig very vocal. Leigh Brown, Rawlings and others very clear in the instruction to get over to your mate and encourage/support. They ran laps at the end. All coaches into Gysberts to go much harder and get past others.
