I think we will see Bugg out for JKH, Goodwin seems the type who rewards vfl form, Bugg although going ok is probably first out at the moment if we are making changes.

Obviously Gawn or Spencer will also be in at the expense of Oscar or Frost. Oscar was solid on the last line and didn't have any brain fades to my recollection and just now seems to be coming into his own, but Forst has that X factor we lack but just isn't as accountable to his man. Hard choice.

If it's a choice between those two I'd go with Frost. WB have a smaller foward line so Oscars size it less important, and Frost has pace so will be able to run with them more. 

There was word that Oscar was playing through an injury on monday, perhaps with the short break and the fact we have the Eagles afterwards where he may have a better match up, Oscar could be given a rest for the week. 

I don't think Bugg will be dropped, having watched more of the highlights I realise that Bugg does more than just play as a forward. He niggles, chases, and makes contests (I just wish he could bloody kick straight!). He also plays taller than you might expect from a player his size. JHK would be a small crumming forward, with maybe a stint in the midfield. For me JHK just needs to keep putting his hand up and he'll get his chance again. 

In terms of rewarding VFL form, ask Trengove and Kennedy about that. Kent also came in off the back of a very quiet game a few weeks back. There seems to be some that just get more of an opportunity.

Because he is an 'almost player'. Almost kicked a goal, almost hit a target, almost cost us the game by giving away a dumb undisciplined 50m penalty. 
Bugg is not the sort of player I see in our premiership team, Stretch is. I would drop Bugg ahead of Harmes because I like the pace Harmes bring. Or we could drop Melksham, but I know that won't happen so why bother.

I'm not a massive Bugg fan but he has to play in front of JKH.  JKH is so uncompetitive.

I haven't seen the replay but I was at the game and I thought that at every centre bounce when Pendlebury was there, Melksham was right next to him. And every time Pendlebury came to the bench for a spell, Melksham did the same. It was only after half-time that this changed.

I'm sure I'll be potted again but Dom Tyson for me just isn't cutting it.

He is racking up ball, but if you compare the type of possessions he is gaining and the quality and meaningfulness of his disposals vs others in our side, you'll see that he's simply not damaging enough. He was fumbly, caught out on the counter due to his pace and he genuinely could have lost us the game when he had the free kick and kicked long directly to three collingwood players. (Hibberd's desperate diving spoil saved a mark coming back in which resulted in Jack's winning goal).

Along with his lack of positional versatility, I can see him being squeezed out against a speedy dogs side on a fast deck.

I'm hoping Gawn's fit and can rotate forward with Pedo to cause some headaches for an undersized dog's defence. I'd also like to see Trac play deep forward in patches next week.

Haven't we just come off a bye? Are they professional players?Comments like 3 changes are a must doesn't make sense to me for this week. 

Unless injured there may be no change as the Doggies don't have a ruck of note, another week for Spenc to get game time in 2s, Gawn another week to keep building up again. 

Id be amazed if Gawn plays this week at all, MFC tends be to conservative with our injured players let alone a player of Max worth long term to us.

I can see O-Mac being (managed) this week. Bugg will not be dropped almost guaranteed he will line up next to Johanissen. We cant go in without a ruck at Etihad against the dogs, unlike the MCG it is alot easier to take it from centre to goals with no option to defend, Spencer to play. Wagner should come in and Vince should play in the middle on The Bont. Raffle ANB or Harmes or Melksham to make way.

Three changes due to a combination of form, matchups and change of ground.

Rotations are normal for teams going into a three week block of six day breaks back-to-back-to-back.

WTF? It was I that originally mentioned that Melksham was tagging Pendlebury in the first half.

Since has been mentioned almost ad nauseum by pundits, analysts, etc. Add to that Bernie Vince, Nathan Jones etc. It was even mentioned by Tim Watson that Collingwood should have been more proactive in breaking the tag.

There's an insinuation that just because you didn't see it, it didn't happen. That's pretty ordinary IMO.

I'll take the bait re: Tyson, he was BOG against the Bulldogs last year with 32 touches and, surprisingly, just the one clanger. Admittedly, that match was at the G last year.

However, if the speed of the deck is going to be an issue I think we can look elsewhere before we give Tyson the Tijuana.

I was listening to Triple M and they did say Melksham was tagging Pendlebury, Judd brought it to the attention of the commentary team. However I want him out of the side, he butchers the ball way too much for AFL level.

Is he?  He kicked two goals and, if you watch the replay, had a hand in a few others as well, especially in the third term when we were at out best.  He kicked one, passed another on to Watts who goaled and then crashed a pack which allowed Pedersen to goal as well.  That's just what I remember off the top of my head.

While I love what Stretch brings to the side, Buggy is ahead of him at the minute for his impact on the game and more than deserves to keep his spot.

Watch again he's very close to Pendles around stoppages and when the Pies tried to hold possession. As soon as we got hold of the ball he ran very hard off Pendlebury. In the second half when we started to dominate the stoppages he didn't need to be as close

Started next to him in the centre square in the first half.  Came off and on at the same time.  There was definitely some sort of tag there in the first half.  In the second half we went more attacking at the stoppages.  Love Goodwin!.

Let's just pick 3 names to drop for no reason and you are placing Lewis and Frost on notice???  Lewis had a quiet game on the weekend but was one of the main reasons we beat GC 2 weeks ago.  Frost has been taking the best forward every week and beating them.  

JKH is not up to it and Stretch hasn't been setting the world on fire at VFL level.

He's not much good at punching either - didn't get near Darcy Moore's overhead mark in the third.

Was going to click the "like" button, as I agree with you; but I don't like it that JKH is not competitive enough.  He has been a bit of a favorite of mine but I now think he may not make the grade  

And Bugg after watching the replay actually did a lot more than I though watching it live  -  anyone have the stats for goal assists and goal involvements?  But I agree that he really needs to work hard on his set shots.

Doubt Gawn or Spencer play this week.

The Dogs dont have a ruckman.  Their highest hitout winner last round was Tim English with just 8.  Pedders can be the main man for one more week.... then Gawny in to face West Coast.
