How good is that?

That unpaid mark just about killed my soul.

I blacked out from rage after that.

Guess I’ll find out what I did in that moment in court.

Unfortunately we might be in strife with the MRP for a couple of incidents:

  • Jetta's bump on Brown in Q3(?)
  • Frost's sling tackle on Anderson in Q4

Thought frosts tackle was all in the one movement but I did not see his head hit the ground

A win but let's not get carried away!

Unhappy with being in the top 4, albeit temporarily, Uncle?

I cracked the sads 10 minutes in after they got 4 goals up. Can anyone tell me how much we lost by? ;)

Decent win and showed that the past is that. The past.

Best game I've seen Gawny play. You could see that they got some momentum up when he went to the bench exhausted.

I think Jordie summed it up brilliantly when he said that the issue is with some of our younger stagers needing to know when to slow it down. They did it perfectly in that last quarter.

I was also encouraged by the reaction at the siren. While I reckon that it was wise to acknowledge the elephant in the room, the fact the boys were happy but didn't go overboard was reassuring.

In other news, I deleted my Facebook account 2 weeks ago (with the deletion becoming permanent tomorrow).  For the entire time that I used it (I created the account at the end of 2006), we never beat North. Maybe there is a coincidence to be found there?

And finally, if there was anyone who has a license to be pessimistic, it's you @old dee

It is, as they say in pro wrestling, your gimmick. ;)

Have so far tipped us to win every game this season CBF and if was not for Gawn I would have a perfect three from three. You read it here first we will beat the Hawks next week.

Does anyone know what that was for?

Umpire 26 thought Kent might have done something, but as he didn't, it means the incompetent umpire pays frees when he actually doesn't see an infringement. Just brilliant.

The hoodoo is dead people! There were many times I thought we'd drop the bundle. 1st quarter, 3rd quarter when we couldn't seem to break through their rearguard etc but we came through when we needed to. Gawn was great, Lewis showed the composure we needed him to show and Petracca really is becoming the player we think he'll be. Good job Dees! Hard 3 weeks coming up

Sidebottom just got off a sling tackle where he pinned the arms and in two motions drove the guys' head into the ground. Frost was not as bad, therefore he goes.

Home and away games don't get much better than this. Daylight game, at the MCG, beautiful day, even a curtain- raiser game. And a hoodoo-busting win by six goals. Hard to beat ...

Just clocking in for the first time in a while to say that this will 100% be the most satisfying win of the H&A season. We beat North. The last of our dark day hoodoos is dead. Thank the heavens.

Second last...(Flag..54 year hoodoo)

Wags and Bugg and Salo all having been questionable,  have absolutely earned the right to retain their spots for next week.

Salo was particularly aggressive today and a great distributor.

All accolades well earned by the side on this day, after a lacklustre opening 15 minutes.

Will take this win gleefully, now removing all remnants of our recent inglorious past.

Sidebottom got a fine for his sling tackle last night. Anderson wasn't hurt so I'd be livid if Frost got a week.

Jetta might be in trouble though. From the replay looks like he decides to bump and then appears to make high contact.

Not that I should be expecting consistency, but that is promising if Sidebottom got off.

Jetta definitely gets him in the head, so hopefully the impact is low enough to get away with it.

Now if you just throw away all of your computers, mobile phones, hair-dryer, colour TV, microwave and waffle-maker we might finally break our our Harvey Norm Smith curse and win a flag again.

Bloody fantastic to beat Norf and the umpires - so sick of the soft frees Norf get, yet we don’t get one for same issue. I hate Norf!

GO THE MIGHTY DEES!

TOP 4 YOU BEAUTY!

We definitely have the best ruckman in the comp by a country mile.

Sorry to Wagner, Bugg and Salem they were fantastic today.

Who were the clowns that wanted Lewis dropped?

Does Jones ever play a bad game?

You wanted Salem dropped....good post.

If you’re trying to kick the ball while being pulled in a tackle the sling tackle should be thrown out the window. It’s the kicker creating the imbalance and momentum. Unless you knock em out cold, should never be looked at.

Hogan was epic. Saw him do multiple 50-60m runs to make position. 442m gained apparently in his disposals. Absolutely outstanding game.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 19th February 2025

Demonlander The Analyser was the sole Trackwatcher out at Casey Fields today to bring you the following observations from this mornings preseason training session. Training  was at Casey today. It consisted of a match simulation for one half  and then a free choice activity time. Activities included kicking for goal,  aerial , contest work etc. I noticed the following players not in match simulation Jack Viney  running laps and looks fine for round one . I think Kolt looks like he’s im

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
