Must say it was hard to not be able to fit Wagner Trac and Chunk in. Would like this to be a weekly dilemma about fitting a dozen into 6

6. Hogan - Demonstrated that he's still every bit as dangerous when he's not kicking goals

5. Gawn - Easily one of the more dominant ruck displays we've ever seen.

4. Jones - Typical Jones game. Absolute beauty of a pass to Jeffy in the last to ice the game

3. Lewis - Ice cool when the heat was on. Slotted a settler early in the last like he'd done it 100 times before....oh wait.

2. Bugg - Finally took advantage of his opportunities and finished with a well deserved handful.

1. Salem - Although he faded, his start the game was as good as anyone's.

Honorable mention to Wagner. Really liked what I saw today.

Apologies to Petracca, Kent and Tyson

6 - Gawn - went all day and set us up perfectly in the middle

5 - Petracca - underrated game, he was hugely influential, especially early

4 - Wagner - best game for the club and his kicking was spot on

3 - Jones - still feel he is taken for granted by some supporters

2 - Bugg - plays his best footy when he is a pest and converted his chances (mostly)

1 - Hogan - love the fact he is just always in the game, goals or not

Honourable mentions to Salem and Kent.

6 - Gawn -  He will walk into the AA side unopposed., He is just too dominant and gave Goldstein a footy lesson.

5 - Hogan -  He will join Gawny there too.  Dominant.  No team has a matchup for him when he gor in the midfield. He is massive and can has a big tank. Usdes the ball very well in there too. Superstar.

4 -  Petracca -  He is getting plenty of the ball and thats what we needed to see for the next step in his evolution. Exciting times.

3 - Wagner -  glad to say I have always been a fan of him. Rock solid today.  Let the improvement continue.

2 - Bugg  -  Redemption.    Kicked the sealer, and you just know that would have [censored] off the North supporters.  Thanks Buggy.

1 -  Lewis -  best game for a while from the veteran.  Perfect time to hit form heading into the Hawthorn game

agree - good sumation

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the

We'll break down the Match SIM against North Melbourne and wrap up the preseason with insights into training and our latest recruits.
