Brayshaw's Wisdom Teeth Extracted

Lets hope he'll be right for Sunday.  I'd like to have him in as backup for the backline.

I see him as a future Qtr-back type. vision to spot targets. I don't have faith in him in-under anymore.

But I'd like to utilise his vision and ability to deliver.

Back in my day I had my wisdom teeth removed in the morning and was back at work by lunch time. And I ate well-done steak for lunch.

Back in my day, my old man was to tight to pay decent health insurance and kicked mine out. The fecker gave me ribs and corn on the cob for tea that night

Never much fun having them out.

In my case, the anesthetic didn't work the first time and I woke up. Thankfully, the cutting hadn't started. Ironically my surgeon also had qualified as a lawyer too.

Judging by that, maybe he needed a thorough knowledge of the law.

I bet he tried to sue the dentist.

If theyd already grown through and it was done in the chair, he got of lightly.  It’s when they have to dig them out then yank them, with their boot on your throat for leverage, that you’re in for a tough recovery.

Ohh boy I can relate to that. I was sore and numb for months No anesthetic for me Still give me nightmares remembering the surgeon using his whole body and the chair for leverage and the noise of the bone saw like a Stihl on steroids

OMG, is that true? He took out your wisdom teeth without anaesthetic? Where was this? Kokoda in 1942?

Kudos

Mate of mine had the snip and was told to stay off the job for a week.

Felt alright the next day so gave it a run.

Didn't end well.

Hearing this I'm glad I was out cold for my removal. I'm not convinced Brayshaw will play this week as a result of this. I'm certainly not as manly or as tough as Brayshaw but I wouldn't have been fit to play a few days out from having my wisdoms out. Nor would you have wanted me to play even if not eating through a straw.

I'v had 4 root canals without anaesthetic. dentist claimed he needed to make sure nerve was completely removed, haha. since then i have become a firm believer in levitation.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
