Lots of champions have missed out on a flag but there would be few that have played their whole career at a traumatised club.  In that respect, no-one deserves to hold up the premiership cup more than Jonesy!  Integrity plus.

True...except at this point of time, Frawley has a premiership medallion hanging around his neck and Jones doesn't. The window of opportunity is very small. As a supporter you want loyalty. However do you begrudge Brian Lake?  There is the argument that if good players stay they may help you win a premiership but bottom line is that Lake won medallions at the Hawks and the dogs did not win one whilst he was playing.

Lake, Frawley or whoever....I think the point is not about begrudging anyone.

Surely the reward is so much better if you've worked your way through and succeeded.

The bond between Hodge, Mitchell and Lewis would be much stronger than with those that have come on board and whilst they add to the mix they're not the foundation of the success.

The man in the mirror would look more kindly on someone like Jones if he gets the ultimate success and even if he doesn't it won't be for lack of trying.
