One quarter away from our first win over the Eagles in Perth since 2002.  And beating a genuine contender/reigning grand final team for the first time in a long time.

guys relax. 99% of you on here were expecting us to get smashed. Were the youngest side in the AFL & were in this up to our eyeballs. yes we should be at least 3/4 goals up. But it's great signs.

I'm fully expecting to lose here, but I'm at least grateful we haven't been blown off the park by 100 points like the Melbourne of old (and, frankly, many other Victorian teams who've come to Domain this year).

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
